Got a call last night from a guitarist buddy of mine that I jam original stuff with like once a month.

Buddy: Hey Bob, I just got one of those Fender Tonemaster Pro's, I'm selling my Helix LT, I'll let you have it for cheap if you give me that Pinnacle Deluxe you have. It's like new and I have the backpack for it too.

Me: What do you mean by "cheap", and does the backpack come with it?

Buddy: 600 bucks cash and that pedal work? Yes you can have the backpack.

Me: Lemme call you back

Luckily wifey was 2 Margaritas deep at that point and getting approval was a cinch.

So I am picking it up when I go to jam with him on Wednesday night. I have seen his Helix LT. He's never gigged it and it is like new for sure. WTF why not? Pretty happy currently with the MX5 but I have been looking around for a backup.

LOL I am no worse than JT and others here. I just like to take different routes. I am a "bang for the buck" guy. I had my points where I threw around 10's of thousands in the course of a few years or so and I was no happier than spending less than half that.

For sure. I was getting ready to buy the FM3 again but really to me the LT is far more usable for what I do.
