NDSP has apparently taken notice and next year will respond with their own special release

More details coming in 2023 blog update

Nah man, they’re going REALLY big- 12 YEARS of Beeeeeta

It is rather impressive to see some of the folks who are participating :headbang

Clearly some old dogs do learn new tricks!

Yup. This dog here has 3 legs and is running (if you call it "running") as fast he can.

That’ll definitely make some people happy!

(It’s Guthrie Govan, for those who didn’t click the link)

I’m not the biggest fan of his tones, but it’s still cool as hell he gave the preset away. Hahaha and just 40 years ago EVH was doing all he could to keep his secrets about his tone, along with numerous other guys who were protective of it and now we got dudes that are just giving away everything!

I wonder if things can actually get better than where we’re at with gear options, or if we’re at the peak right now and it’s just going to level out from here.

Certainly in our “social” marketing culture, sharing non-DRM music that can be used in TikTok’s, doing detailed rig rundowns, and giving away tone tips and presets, etc., can’t do anything but help these guys…

Gone are the days of waiting for the latest LP, reading through all the liners and inserts, going to album signings, etc.

While I still prefer the old way of experiencing an album; getting it on release day and listening to it in it’s entirety with headphones or a great system, the only time I buy physical CD’s are when a band is selling them at a live show. And even then, they all ended up in a bin and the only thing I can stick a CD into now is my Macbook.

I definitely miss the days of reading the liner notes and all the Thank You’s (used to be the only way to get insight into the gear used unless the guitarists was in a guitar mag discussing it!) and artwork. Artwork I especially miss; I’d stare at the Floyd CD booklets for hours because so much creativity went into them.
