Have you Tried Leon’s ADA
He went pretty in depth with measurements and all, it is really good IMO and gets you there or very close

Mmm hmm. It's all good. I've kinda moved away from it though. My presets revolve around Mesa JP2C, Recto, Triple Crown, & Texas Star. I'm a total Mesa snob just as much as @la szum is a Marshall one.

That is probably a great patch
JP2C , Lonestar , Recto and Crown is a sweet combination

Not enough of a Simpsons snob to know if it was stolen from the show or not.

I wanted to check out the Dev and Phil presets last night, I went to grab my Solar then thought “Duh! You’ve got Devin’s sig set in the SZ!” I made a quick clip with the preset; only thing I changed was dropping the Level of the Drive block down, that’s way more distortion than I’d ever dial into my own presets! I was pretty surprised to hear that much bass and distortion in a preset he used live, but I heard him on that tour and both him and Keneally sound f*cking GREAT.

(Wow, the drums are REALLY loud on my ipad speaker)


If you start playing around with octaves it doesn’t take long to get the Dev feel/sound going on. Phil’s preset is much, much darker than I presumed it’d be and way less mids!

Sounds great! Odd on the Phil Collen preset. He plays a 36lb superstrat with like 13s so you would think it's already inherently dark af. Unless it was dialed in at 136db

It’s gotta be a volume thing and how it sounds through their PA, didn’t matter which guitar I used, even my JEM sounded like it had a blanket on it. And yeah, I heard those Jackson’s way a ton. The dude Alex who runs the Groomed Noodlers group on FB got to check out his rig a couple months back, he’s got a single cut that looks like it has a neck twice the size of my Strat neck and you could tell the thing weighed about 15lbs when he picked it up.

That’s how Phil stays in shape, just pickin’ up his f*cking guitars.
