Fractal Audio Firmware Update Thread

I have a couple voodoo lab midi switchers already, I wonder if those would work fine with the Axe? I'm guessing they should.
I would definitely work with those before putting down the cash for a FC12 or FC6! And if they don't work out, you can still get the FC!! They will be a little more involved to do some of your functions on the axe than an FC would take, but you will also have more options with them open as well ;~))

They absolutely should. I used a Ground Control Pro with my Kemper before they had their own foot controller, and it worked perfectly with the Kemper. But it was a pain to program.
Good to know. I've only used them in the context of a pedal board, nothing too crazy with outboard racks or anything. Not that I would need to dive too deep into programming for switching, but it's nice to know what's possible.

It’s been years, but IIRC I used PCs for rig/preset changes and CCs for individual effect toggling. I don’t know how the MIDI implementation works with Fractal gear, but it should be able to work with at least those basic functions.

I need to stop talking about it... I don't want to end up like someone that just talks and doesn't buy. :grin

I've had the AF3 for over a week already. LOVE IT.

My FM9T sold yesterday and is on its way to a new owner. The balance has been restored.

I did feel a little sad putting the FM9 into the box. It's a super cool thing.
How quick did the Axe ship to you?

I agree. I believe that I read a comment on the FAS forum from Cliff stating that the complex interactions between the a fuzz pedal and a guitar are not possible to get completely right currently due to hardware limitations. Simply changing the input impedance to another fixed value on the axe-fx is a low level approximation.

My memory may be wrong in that, so perhaps Cliff will comment on the subject.
