Not a song, but could be used for a sci-fi horror soundtrack maybe?
My favorite fuzz, the Trombetta Mini-Bone:
What songs are great tone examples of using a Fuzz, but not Hendrix
Curious
Cheers
This came to mind right away Mike .Did Robin Trower use fuzz on Bridge of Sighs?
Love that song and tone
For me, I like a nice thick fuzz
The models in the Axe Fx, and other devices just don't have that wall of sound fullness to them. Also, just the chaotic reactiveness of the pedal seems to be missing and I haven't quite figured out how to do a gated fuzz either
What’s this about a Vespa nowWe need Leon to show us how to pull off a Vezzpa styled gated fuzz.
I have! I think it does a pretty good job!u tried helix industrial fuzz? it's zvex fuzz factory, it does very dirty things, it can even sing by itself

Yeah messing with the clipping types can get it very close. I still just prefer the fullness of the pedal when I switch back and forth....almost feels like it adds a note underneath of that makes any sense.Just spent a half hour or so futzing around with the fuzzes. I don’t know, that Bender goes hard man. I slapped it over a Shiva Clean (in honor of @DrewJD82 ‘s new amp) and bumped the Master Vol Trim up to 1.8 on the amp and its kinda nasty in all the right ways.
Also, I found If you go into the Fuzz block and change the clip type to LV Tube it gets a nice little gate thing going. Bit Reduce does some cool, albeit more exaggerated gating. Kinda fun screwing around with that.
But the default Bender into the Shiva throws down on some riffage.

Yeah I set up the patch @Whizzinby mentioned and was toggling through them. I want to be clear I am being very picky. The fractal fuzz can absolutely get you by no problem.I'm guessing you've tried the fuzzes and drives fairly recently then? IIRC, Cliff did another round of improvements to the drives off the back of some findings he made when modelling the Klon.
I did notice an improvement at that time.
Also try lowering the sample rate.Bit Reduce does some cool, albeit more exaggerated gating.
You Know we live in an age where there are so many effect pedals that all claim to be betterGilmour used Fuzz Faces and I think a Tone Bender on occasion until ‘77 or so when he switched to Big Muff’s, which he’s been on ever since, or some modded Big Muff or something Pete Cornish made for him based off a BM.
This is the greatest fuzz tone I have ever heard and is also the birth of my gear fetish. I was 11 when I saw this, I had only been playing for about 6 months and I had no clue what all the gear did. I suggest watching it all because it’s pinnacle EJ, but the specific part is just after 0:45, you see him step on an A/B switch and then on a blue Fuzz Face. Holy Mother Of God.

The combination of seeing all those mystery pedals, which looked like lab equipment to an 11 year old, and the sound that comes out of his Dumble after hitting that Fuzz Face just blew my mind. I’ve never heard him get a Fuzz tone like that since, or anyone.
Same could be said for amps imo. Yeah it's fun to try out new builders but nothing beats Mesa, Peavey, Bogner, Marshall etcYou Know we live in an age where there are so many effect pedals that all claim to be better
but some of the classics still can't be beat, like EHX , MXR, Boss
