This. Tired of people saying I can get "X tones from Y amp" where X != Y when people talk about what they'd like to see modeled. It's pretty bad on the FAS forum because no one wants to ever admit anything is imperfect, ever in FAS land.Nobody is wrong for wanting an amp added to an amp modeling platform regardless of how similar it is to another amp. The job of these companies is to excite its user base. People have attachments to their amps of choice, so it’s logical they may enjoy having them on their modeler.
Was the Fractal lacking Marshall amps two weeks ago? People sure seem awfully happy about the new 800 though.
One of the benefit of these digital devices for serious gear hounds is the virtual NAD dopamine hits that keep GAS at bay.
A rebadged model would be unethical, too and if it were to get out would ruin the company's rep. IMHO. Esp, given Fractal's rep for total accuracy and that Cliff is known to measure individual amps for modeling purposes.
Fun idea: It'd be cool if the Axe had a 'part tolerance' parameter that scrambled the deep settings/virtual parts within some range to give the variation between specimens effect.
