Fractal Audio Firmware Update Thread

I know it’s crazy sometimes I feel like I should just take cooper class
I have always played w the amp cab beside each other and effects after which makes it mono
Now I know why the cab is at the end of the chain in some presets

I've never finished the Cooper class. Got it a few years ago when I first got the Axe 3. I got so much info from free sources like Leon's videos and forums that it was never a game changer, but it was a nice consolidated source of info. Perfect for new users who want to quickly unlock the info.

The other big thing I did was force myself to use the UI exclusively, which was a big help. There's some things that are way too annoying to do with UI (like fiddling with the FC controllers).

For the cab, it can be useful to do stereo cab blocks when you have multiple outputs, like Out 1 to the mixer direct and Out 2 to a power amp and cab (before the cab block).

The class episode i want to see is panic fixing a corrupted footswitch layout from the front panel at a live gig when you are under the gun. I still see threads about people's footswitch methodologies where they have a dedicated panic button and that continues to make me sweat juuuuuuust a little bit.

I actually think that kind of stuff is where Cooper would really be great. The weird problem solving scenarios.

That’s a “F*ck this, where’s my DS-1?” situation. :rofl

No doubt. I just posted a wish myself about having the JPIIC act like the real amp when using the shred switch, and I'm just waiting for the 'usual suspects' to tell me why it's not needed/possible/already asked for/what I should do instead/wrong.

There are various Modes on multiple Mesa amps that are not implemented in the Fractal verse. It's a valid request.

Yeah. I mean, I wanna hit the switch, and just have it change, but not the other stuff that wouldn't, IRL. I'm just waiting for all the "help" from the resident "RTFM-types", that we know and :farleylove.

@JiveTurkey How are those trousers holding up there JT? I presume they're being held up by a belt to be honest. But as to the general condition of the said legwear? I saw the release of the Lifeson GOT and I immediately thought of you and the imminent soiling.
My belt holds my pants up, but the belt loops hold my belt up. I don’t really know what’s happening down there. Who is the real hero?

RIP Mitch Herberg

Have to say FAS boys the GOT series is very impressive, good on Cliff, FAS and all the artists
shows what a great company Fractal is
And to some extent shows why a lot of QC fan bois are so damn salty and defensive
