What are we watching now?

Watched the first 2 episodes of American Primeval. EXCELLENT. Got down to business and didn't let up so far. Which combined with the short run aspect is actually a good thing. Once action hits; it feels like a game more than a show which works well for it.

Honestly; I saw the title and the still and shied away because the main guide actor is usually in absolute garbage and it reminded me of Netflix filling up their "library" with whatever turd they can find. I am glad I listened to the reco's here and gave it a shot. Interested to see how it plays out \m/

Enjoying Paradise so far, but the concept of someone as young as mardzen being president makes it hard to suspend disbelief

Man, Apple is killing it with the marketing for Severance! If you know, you know:

I’m not sure if this was directed at me or just a coincidence…..

But it’s Friday night and miller time, and I got a wild hare to look up the tab for “Smooth” by Santana feat. Rob Thomas. I’m in the groove and jamming out and suddenly hear a loud “SHUT THE FUCK UP” followed by a door slam somewhere outside :somean

You live in the craft beer capital of the United States and you’re drinking Miller?

Reported!

I feel like I’ve almost gone through that one IQ chart meme in regards to beer

I will always be a stout guy (left hand nitro milk stout FTW)

But as far as cheep stock up the fridge beers, yeah it’s miller these days. I drink more tequila than beer in recent times

I almost feel like the oversaturation of craft beer eventually put me off in some regards

Next month me and my older sister are doing our annual tradition at Denver Beer Co for the beer and bacon festival. 8am to 11am unlimited beer, bacon, coffee, and burritos. Lots of limited release beers. Always a blast :love

Sounds to me like someone wants the amp volume to increase from 11:00 to 12:00.

We just watched The Beast from 2023. I really liked it; very slow, all building for a purpose. The director was molded after David Lynch 100%, but the thing is, Lea Seydoux is so damn good, she just carries you throughout. My favorite actors all are intense, like you don't know when the boiling water under the surface is going to overflow, and she's like that. The director was whatever, but she is always truly great. George MacKay was good throughout, and no actors fucked it up.

It's avant garde sci fi, 70s style, but made recently. I love the slow pace and the time taken to build the characters, so it builds to me the way a story should, so that when something happens, it really means something.

We're talking about seeing a matinee of The Brutalist tomorrow. I'm really excited. I've seen only one other film at the theater with an intermission, that was Kenneth Brannaugh's Hamlet.
