UAFX Knuckles ‘92 Rev F Dual Rec - leak?

The pedal design looks fully 90s.- maybe that's what they were going for

Anyway...these pedals are just a stepping stone to their final multi fx unit which will have all the pedals, delays, fx etc...expect that to be UA priced.

You know...I think we're in a sort of 'iphone' situation with modelers - manufacturers have been pushing up the price of a phone to the $1000 and even $2000 range to see what the market will hold.

I think it's the same with modelers - guitarists may be living on Ramen Noodles and the McD dollar menu - but they just HAVE to have the very best for their modeling equipment. We're closet audiophiles playing the same game...except with gear priced a little more affordably compared to super high-end stereo equipment...so that we can play that game.

I think that as of the beginning of this year, most of the major solutions are very comparable in amp tones - and they're all very good. Personally, it's not the amp modeling that's the challenge anymore - it's the cab / speaker modeling. No "FRFR" comes close to the original guitar speaker in a cab (in an in-the-room comparison to the original). I bet that's what companies like L6 are working on.

I could listen to beginner guitar lessons through this clipping for the rest of my life and not get tired of the sound. it's nourishing

Many people have reported that the Dream 65 (Deluxe Reverb) had issues with the input clipping too easily. I suppose all of these pedals are like that, because it's the same underlying architecture?

Except that with this style of amp (Dual Rec), guitarists are even more likely to have hot pickups, I suppose; so it likely exacerbates the issue 🤔

post-gibson mesa money i get that, but give it at least something that alludes to the resemblance of contrast, even the dream 65 knobs would be more visual callback to the intended reference amp.

I just think they realized how many they are actually going to sell, and how much more extra they can make with vanilla knobs and zero paint. IT'S A BRICK. and I just paid overnight shipping for it.

Wow, that sounds like shit.

I think the appeal with the UAD pedals is the simplicity. Not sure how many people would be into an all in one modeling device, especially given they have no computer editor.

Simplicity works if it’s designed well. I don’t think they’ve quite got that right and that’s why it feels a bit weird. It’s literally an end to end model with all the modes and switches. They’ve just made some odd decisions on which controls the user has immediate access to and which ones require an app. You can tell from a few of the videos how it’s a weird fudging around between operating the pedal and using the app to do what you need from it, it’s not a slick experience.

only thing I need to know is:

1. does bumping the master throw a dialed in tone out the window

2. does orange normal under 9:00 gain take a DS-1 like [hyperbole]
