Public ally Gossiping about people getting fired is kinda shitty regardless of who you or they are imo.

I worked at the State Unemployment Office for a few years while in-between jobs.

Quite often, employers will fire someone, but intentionally wouldn’t respond to a Request For Separation Information so that the severed employee will receive unemployment benefits. We would then treat the claim as a layoff. We had a few cases where someone would run their mouth on social media about a person who was fired and the information would make it back to the Unemployment Office, consequently denying the claimant of benefits.

I can think of several other instances where you wouldn’t want that information getting out. People have been denied investment payments because of how they were separated from employment.

Simply put, it was private information that someone entrusted with Fluff, but instead he ran his mouth.

I have zero sympathy for him and if I were a manufacturer, I’d think twice about doing business with him. He’s an NDA liability.

I can't help but notice that the major YT channels are staying out of it. It's the low level channels that need to express their "interest in the topic". Which obviously are much more noble than people having a discussion in a forum, as you clearly expressed.

I’ve had a LONG run with mostly Tokais and Burnys that sent my Gibsons packing years back but the two Gibsons I’ve picked up post Covid are both amongst the best playing guitars I own.

Both have some finishing “personality” we’ll call it but man. Great playability, tone, body balance, very resonant. It’s all there. I either got exceptionally lucky OR Gibson is at least trying to pull it together.

I will say, perhaps one of the things that makes me an unapologetic “Gibson bootlicker” is the fact that I’ve owned my fair share of them for close to a couple decades now. Never owned a bad one, or frankly even played a bad one in the wild (unless we’re counting shitty GC floor model setups on their very entry level units) . Definitely 0% encounters with anything affecting playability. Maybe I’ve seen a few aesthetic discrepancies that wouldn’t pass the “tgp black light test” but honestly none of that in the ones I’ve owned. I do chalk most of it up to an internet thing

Fuckin a, UPS is currently in possession of a strandberg I have on the way, I’ve seen far more legitimate horror stories on the web about that brand… and they’re priced similarly to USA Gibsons despite the fact they’re made by Cortek Indonesia, and twice the price of every other brand contracting them (with far less reported QC issues)

Everyone wants to call lit Gibson for being overpriced, but at the same time 2x price PRS and Suhr standard production stuff gets a pass for some reason

All just strange to me. But I don’t really care, if I’m a bootlicker so be it. I mostly play PRS these days so
