Just read this news. Don't know how much is true or just speculation, of course.

at rig talk they say gibson plans to release a iic+ reissue, if that's true and knowing gibson it will be ridiculously expensive.
also, lol at the guy who has his entire house lined with iic+ amps wall to wall... part of the problem.

not a surprise, think how old he is, and how much of his life he would have spent being his own boss. once the company isn’t yours any more and you’re answering to someone else, you hardly want to stick around.

Sure it was in his plans to get out after the initial handover.

Will they be "hand wired"?

Hehehehe 😂
I think one post there nailed it:

"i bet it will be more a "limited run" than a reissue, kind of like the Page or Jones guitars Gibson does that sell out instantly and have a waiting list at $15k or whatever bullshit they go for"

Referring to the, "apparently true" talk of a IIC+ reissue. Which would be just like Gibson, and could be the reason RS left (assuming he did, which a few, seemingly-legit, sources have said.)

Lots of speculation on both, some of which seems rather strong.

if you are Gibson, why wouldn't you release a IIC+ (and Rectifier Rev G re-issue)? I respect RS for pushing on and evolving things rather than looking backwards but from Gibsons POV it would be lunacy not to cash in on the famous amps.

For years Randall was like I have too much integrity and respect to offer a lesser
version of something people want, and that we cannot pull off to my exacting
standards.

Gibson is like, "Here, hold our beers, Randall."

Bring on the reissues! :facepalm
