"tickling" the red?

Looks like the red was getting squarely kicked in the nuts!

Incidentally, that battery thing also happened to me last week and I was super upset as the sound got worse and worse over a few minutes and I couldn't understand where all the farty flub and weird "clipping" was coming from.

This is using a dual amp preset, a Dual Rec/IIC++, each amp panned hard left/right, then when I double track it (what I'm doing in the vid) I reverse the panning because I have an OCD thing about having completely different sounds on each side. This isn't mixed at all, just the raw audio out of Logic with my usual buss compressor on the master bus.

needed tonight.

We've been getting hammered with epic snow (even for here!) and I have been out shoveling
the drive and walks multiple times the past 2 days. Didn't feel like playing any music. It's fucking
cold, too. 14F right now. I was feeling a bit sorry for myself. But damn, your clip lit a fire under
my ass that I needed, and I am going to mix up a Moscow Mule or two (because it seems fitting),
and play for a couple of hours before I crash. Had I not seen this I'd have just drug my sorry ass to bed.

Yeah, that 707 really hits the input hard and honestly, I didn't even notice! :rofl Going from that guitar to my Old Man Strat with the vintage voiced single coils, I'm either not touching the red enough or way over it. I'll have to check into that a bit more to see if it's negatively effecting anything. Hahaha I just checked the vid....damn!

I don't miss that stuff; growing up in New England I know that sh*t all too well and I can't say I miss it one bit. I moved back up there for 5 years in 2007 and the last Winter of 2011 we got nailed with a few feet, it took me 6 hours to dig my car out of my driveway because the first 4 hours of the storm was just sleeting (rain/snow) until it was just heavily packed snow. My tires had solid ice around them about 4" deep and I just remember saying "Dude, why the f*ck am I doing this? It's 85 degrees in Florida right now." and 4 months later I was back down here. :rofl

Go rock out!

I'm onto another tune now, totally different direction of music and getting the last bit of Straturday in!

Just a little "snow" digression...

A SOUTHERNER MOVES UP NORTH


Dec 8 5:00 pm - it's starting to snow. The first of the season and the first one we've seen in years. The wife and I took our hot buttered rums and sat by the picture window watching the soft flakes drift down, clinging to the trees and covering the ground. It was beautiful!

Dec 9 We awoke to a lovely blanket of crystal white snow covering the landscape. What a fantastic site. Every tree and shrub covered with a beautiful white mantle. I shoveled snow for the first time in years and loved it. I shoveled both our drive and sidewalk. Later, a city snowplow came along and accidentally covered our drive with compacted snow from the street. The driver smiled and waved. I waved back and shoveled our drive again.

Dec 10 It snowed an additional 6 inches last night and the temperature has dropped to about 11 degrees. Several limbs from the trees and shrubs snapped due to the weight of the snow. I shoveled again. Shortly after, the snowplow came by and did his trick again. Much of the snow is now brownish-gray.

Dec 11 It warmed up enough during the day to create some slush which soon became ice when the temperature dropped again. Bought snow tires for both cars. Fell on my ass in the driveway. $145 to a chiropractor but nothing broken. More snow and ice expected.

Dec 12 Still cold. Sold the wife's car and bought a 4X4 in order to get her to work. Slid into a guardrail anyway and did considerable amount of damage to the right rear quarter pane. Had another 8 inches of that white shit last night. Both vehicles covered with salt and crud. More shoveling in store for me today. That goddam snowplow came by twice today.

Dec 13 2 degrees outside. More fuckin' snow. Not a tree or shrub on my property that hasn't been damaged. Power was off most of the night. Tried to keep from freezing to death with a kerosene heater which tipped over and nearly burned the house down. I managed to put the flames out but suffered 2'nd degree burns on my hands and lost most of my eyelashes and eyebrows. Car slid on ice on the way to the emergency room and was totalled!!

Dec 14 Goddam mother-fuckin' white shit keeps on coming down. Have to put on all the clothes we own just to get to the fucking mailbox. If I ever catch the son-of-a-bitch that drives the snowplow, I'll chew open his chest and rip his heart out. I think he hides around the corner and waits for me to finish shoveling and then comes down the street about 60 MPH and buries our drive again. Power still off. Toilet froze and part of the roof has started to cave in.

Dec 15 6 goddam more fuckin' inches of fuckin' snow and fuckin' sleet and fuckin' ice and god knows what other kind of white fuckin's shit fell last night. I wounded the fuckin' snowplow asshole with an ice axe but he got away. Wife left me. The car won't start. I think I'm going snow-blind. I can't move my toes. More fucking snow expected tonight. I'm moving the fuck back to Texas!!!

I just woke up a few minutes ago and have yet to allow the outside world spoil my altruistic mind, but it’d be pretty cool if we could have a couple TGF tour boxes where we have a couple of forum-owned modeling units/pedalboards we could keep moving around our members so everyone could try this stuff out. I’ve seen it work at other places before so I know it’s possible, just takes a good group of people where no one takes it and bails. On one forum I’m on there’s a guitar that’s been passed around from member to member for something like 15 years now and it’s never been an issue.

We’d absolutely have a contract with the first stipulation being- TGF is not responsible for your divorce, bankruptcy, or impending neuroticism that will surely develop as the result of experiencing various tones and optionitis.

I have no doubt that I could find the most toxic/abusive woman in Aus/NZ and stick by her side no matter what just because of the accent. :rofl That and there’s a certain 4-letter word beginning with a C and ending with a T that Brits and Aussies use as commonly and freely as I do because it’s my favorite word. @TSJMajesty and @la szum have witnessed some of my celebration of that word.:ROFLMAO:
