They really are not that hard to setup...
Not for you or me, but for some people this stuff is all brand new and confusing.
They really are not that hard to setup...
The UI is very unintuitive especially coming from other similar units and it wouldn't take much to improve it. When one person has a problem with a product the problem is the person, when 100 people have the same problem then the problem is with the product. They really are not that hard to setup...
They remastered the Plexi models and they are killer!1987X Jumped is incredible in this update. Compared it back to back with the real thing and pots match 1:1. Absolutely sick!
Which has what to do with setup of expression pedals (which is what my reply was about)? The UI is very unintuitive especially coming from other similar units and it wouldn't take much to improve it. I'm referring specifically to the UI for the expression pedal. It's hard to understand what kind of signal the axe is getting from the pedal if it's getting anything at all, doesn't allow for calibration etc... It's just poorly thought out all around, it's clear almost no time was invested in making it user friendly.Which has what to do with setup of expression pedals (which is what my reply was about)?
The "problem" (IMHO) is mostly lazy people who don't want to invest the time to learn the product, read the release notes, etc...
I don't agree with all the UI hate... Especially if you're using the editor.
You're welcome to have your own opinion, though.
I really don't understand what are you talking about...I'm referring specifically to the UI for the expression pedal. What improvements would you suggest for making it less hard to understand?I'm referring specifically to the UI for the expression pedal. How have you arrived at this figure?when 100 people have the same problem then the problem is with the product.
It's been so long since I needed to calibrate, I don't recall the pre/post bars. I'm guessing that got added after I last used it...What improvements would you suggest for making it less hard to understand?
The user manual:

The actual screen:
- The first bar (PRE-CAL) shows the actual pedal span (the signal that the Axe-FX is getting from the pedal, as you say),
- The second bar (POST-CAL) the calibrated span. When properly calibrated, this one should go from 0% to 100%

Did you try lowering the master volume if applicable?I’ve been running 27.00 for a few days now. It sounds great as expected. The Plexi model I’ve been playing does seem to have more sludge in the low end. I didn’t A/B the old firmware so it could all be placebo.
The newly reworked tuner is noticeably faster and more responsive. It now rivals my Sonic Research Turbo tuner. Great job Fractal!
The Mutron filter has been fun to play with, but is not really something I anticipate using regularly.
The end of RANF posts is truly something to celebrate.
Can someone please murder this Fractal UI conversation and put it out of it's misery already?
Yes!! Wait it’s been awhile since last update. Does this get the drive block improvements too, not just the new drive models?![]()

IDK, but you could scroll thru this, and use Ctrl + F to search for "Drive."Yes!! Wait it’s been awhile since last update. Does this get the drive block improvements too, not just the new drive models?
Loaded it earlier this evening. The new "Treadle" phase is really nice! Plunked around with it for albout 90 minutes....Also today...

Changes since Beta (3)...
DRIVE BLOCK UPDATES
Added Tube Drive 5-Knob model.
PHASER BLOCK UPDATES
• New Vibe algorithm in Phaser block. The default values have changed for the Vibe models and existing presets
are automatically updated to the new defaults. If you have edited the default values you may wish to audition
your presets accordingly.
• Added “LFO Mode” to the Phaser block. When set to UNIVIBE the amplitude of the LFO is roughly proportional to
the LFO Rate. When set to NORMAL the amplitude is constant. NORMAL allows deeper phasing at slow rates
than would be possible with an actual Univibe.
• Added Low Cut and High Cut controls to Phaser block for the wet path.
• Added Modern Vibe model to Phaser block. This is based on a classic UniVibe but with modern input buffer and LFO.
• Changed “Exponent” to “VCR Shape” in Phaser block as this more accurately describes the control function.
OHTER BLOCK UPDATES
• Added “Ducking” control to Tremolo block. This reduces the intensity of the effect as you play louder.
FIXES
• Corrected AMP graphs in the editor window not redrawing in some cases.
