Why no "High End" Behringer Modeler ...... seriously ?

Oh, well... I wonder why is used in almost every venue I gigged (mid to big theaters). I maybe gigged 50 theaters in last couple years, and 90% of the times there was an X32 (a few times, the compact version). All sounded awesome. I also know studios where they use the X32.

I suppose you have good reasons to think it´s a meh product, of course.

But man, if you´re deniying the X32 is an absolute success and a great product (not even for the price), then I guess We aren´t going to agree almost in anything.
It's the Mackie, Yamaha or Peavey of the 2020s. Very capable and mid priced, not high end.

2010s and 2020s, thing has been around forever. Pretty much nobody is mixing live sound in 2000 cap rooms on Neve or Audient boards, what a wild comparison.

Most defenitely not. It's all X32, Wings or some Yamaha stuff. Sure, more popular acts may feel to scale up a bit, but there's pretty much no high end in live mixing anymore.
Doesn't make the Behringer offerings high end units, though. They're very well good enough and that's just about it.

They're very well good enough and that's just about it.
Well... I would rather name it "the market standard", rather than "good enough and that´s just about it".

I wonder how many brands would KILL for such a meh product, by the way. :idk

I think it´s the biggest commercial success in live equipment in decades. I might be wrong, though.

Well... I would rather name it "the market standard", rather than "good enough and that´s just about it".

Which is pretty much the same. Market standards usually aren't set by high end items. The sort of market standard for furniture would be IKEA rather than Knoll.

Really, being widely used has got nothing to do with great quality, let alone high end.

Not going to argue with someone who says that the X32 is not great, really.

I never said it's not great. It's sufficient for pretty much all kinda gigs and it's possibly the best bang-for-the-buck. So that alone is great.
Yet, that doesn't even remotely make it a high end device, which this thread is about.
That'd be like saying a standard Skoda Fabia would be a high end car. It gets all the transportation duties done, it's not too uncomfortable, either, price is decent. But it's not high end. Not even a standard VW Goif is.

You said "No, it's "sufficient" quality. And sometimes even not exactly.".

That "no" was replying to my "it's great quality".

So yes, you said it's not great quality, but "sufficient" instead (and sometimes even less than sufficient).

You're artificially trying to put down a fantastic product... I don't know if it's because Behringer is what it is, and they have a dark history. I'm not here to defend Behringer (I don't especially like them), but someone who forces this way an argument until the point of saying that product is sufficient quality... God... I wonder where are the rest of brands to sell a good mixer (good is better than sufficient, isn't it?) and earn tons of money. What are they waiting for?

I see so obvious that the X mixers are great quality that I don't really understand what are We talking about.

It's not high-end, ok. I said before that I get it. I get that high-end is the gear that only abbey road studios can afford. I get that high end gear is the one that costs more than 1600€... But c'mon, Sascha, c'mon.

:beer

No. I have seen some broken things on both X32 and Wing consoles more than once.
I have absolutely no reasons to defend or dismiss Behringer. But please don't tell me it's "great" quality. It's not. Just google "Behringer X32 issues". Tons of hits.

I think if you come from the time when Behringer were IP thieving scum :sofa:rofl; you have that natural dislike for the company and any discussion you get in about them. I'm not saying I don't buy cheap clone BS if I feel like it but they have always struck me as slimy.
