I Gotta Wonder About Fractal's, er, "Perception"

That’s it, you’re cut off. No more vinegar for you.

The amount of factory DynaCabs suffices, but there aren’t enough corresponding “packs” yet. Meaning that you can’t use Cab-Lab to mix DynaCabs in many cases, yet. Mixing cabs is a way to keep CPU usage (in the Cab block) low.
The biggest thing for me that would be great to have in the unit for Dyna Cabs is some of the mic choices like the MD421 M160 combo
And the on/off Axis options if those could be made available through Dyna cabs at the cost of some factory ones , I would be happy as a clam
But yes , many would likely riot

I am probably an idiot but I thought the running references to Pignose cabs were a joke until i saw Cooper Carter's video using one and I tried them myself. Currently using the 1x6 El Tiny and it is anything but tiny sounding.

Would also love an onboard block library :chef

I pretty much only use per preset switches for everything.

But say I want to have one switch toggle both a reverb and a chorus. You can’t just set up the switch to do both. Instead you have to set the switch to control a control switch and then set each block to use that control switch for its bypass state.

True. And I did that for a minute, but when it comes time to program for a gig I found the control switches way too hard to manage for quick preset programming so I’m relegated to not putting multiple things on a switch unless I’m switching scenes.

It’s a frustrating limitation, I agree.

Yeah I'd trade the factory IRs any day for more DynaCabs or block settings storage if space is at a premium.
How many IRs are there per DynaCab?

Would eliminating all standard IRs even room for even one DynaCab?

I agree but there are those who vehemently disagree and would probably have a conniption if we were to remove the legacy IRs.

I've kind of felt this is the "Damned if you do and damned if you don't," nature of
things. Likely the same with any alterations to the UI. Long-time users would bemoan
the fact of having to adapt and learn anything new.

People are ultimately problematic....

it's too early and peaceful here for a conniption in 2025 , if that's what one seeks, I recommend TGP where
pants are shat daily , insults are hurled and bans given out like condoms at a Bonnie Blue record breaking attempt

I am just now noticing something. And yes, it’s off-topic, but, it needs to be sent. I can’t figure out something. I always agree with Orvillain and I always agree with Jive Turkey.

Why is that?

I joke about the Pignose, but I also actually use it semi regularly.

Mixing an IR of a small speaker into the sound goes back to the early Axe-Fx days: 1x6 Oval.
Small speakers are mid-focussed. Adding it to the mix adds body to the sound.

I often will record a dry track from the FM9, in addition to the amp model, and then apply IK's Satriani Rockman model for that reason. It's midrangey AF, and sits well if you keep in the background a bit.

I used to do this with real amps back in the day. I would use a Pro Jr next to my main amp and use it as an extra mids/body control for the overall sound
