What are we watching now?

Went and watched Nosferatu last night. Great visuals (what you could see because Eggers only uses torches for film lighting :wat ) and creepy vibes. Bill Skarsgaaaaararard's THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC accent and Spongebob Squarepants Movie Mustache Competition Winner look was not a good choice however. Looks to be a film where you get grey poupon'd for not liking it even the slightest bit. Reminds me a bit of Tool fans:cop :ROFLMAO:

Have (had?) high hopes for that one

I’m wondering about the new Bob Dylan picture ?
Friends went to see it yesterday in the USA and enjoyed it but are still on the fence about it ??

Rewatched The Hitcher over holiday break. Re-re-reiterating for me for the bazillionth time how much of a badass Rutger Hauer was. Such a great screen presence.

That's one I always meant to try. This past year I tried watching some of his low budget action movies where he's the lead, like Blind Justice, and I just couldn't make it. I swear, I tried.

You're probably not a good candidate for Hobo With A Shotgun then :ROFLMAO:

I'll be the judge of that:

I can love a film that's so bad it's good, but that is a rare thing for me, like Miami Connection, the crème de la crème of awesome B movies, about a Tae Kwon Do rock band that fights cocaine dealing biker ninjas in 1985, with some of the awesomest songs you'll ever hear:

If you don't get the reference "Sho nuff!" then you aren't a true B movie connoisseur, my friend.

Haha We just watched The Last Dragon for the first time this past year! I freaking loved it. I was surprised that Taimak didn't do anything else that looked like it would be as good.

Even so, I'm definitely not very well versed in B movies. I can't make it through a lot of them; Miami Connection is a huge exception. As far as The Last Dragon is concerned though, to me a lot of things about it were way higher quality than a lot of B movies. What I really need to do is just watch old episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000. The thing is though, whenever we watch movies like that, my wife and I pretty are the MST3000 cast, and we take like 3 hours to watch an hour and a half movie due to all the pausing and smartass commentary.

Why? Do you think you're going to miss important exposition and key plot points? LOL!

I watched this entire episode again last night. First time I watched it live back in 2019.

F'ing hilarious and epic! A lot of cool points and tidbits I forgot, or that didn't stick
the first time. Like Jake having a Charvel stage guitar that has Jumbo frets up to the
12th fret and then smaller frets higher than the 12th fret.

He also said his version of "Holy Diver" with DIO was different than what ended up
on record with Vivian Campbell. Be cool to hear that. I guess Vinny Appice has the
tapes somewhere. :idk

Home Alone has really good internal consistency. Every time you think you have an objection to something the movie has an answer to it.
