What are we watching now?

I don't know if I'm actually feeling worse than I was earlier or if getting the positive test is telling me I should be feeling worse. My throat is done for and so far every time someone has called my work phone and I squeak out a "This is Drew" when I answer then tell whoever it is I'm not at work because I'm feeling like sh*t, it's an invitation to have a whole conversation. :rofl

It's mostly my throat and a very lethargic feeling, the lethargic feeling is what is creeping in more and more but I'm not sure if it's in my head or not. I had it last January and it was over with in 3 days without much of a hassle.
Here's a to a quick turnaround hopefully. Take some C and zinc and get some rest.

These days im watching Lost treasures of Egypt on Disney + I'm on season 3
It's so fascinating

Finished The Patient with Steve Carrell. Really good!

Moving on to Cabinet of Curiosities for Halloween. Then I think next on our list is Season 2 of White Lotus.

I’m intrigued from the trailer, but didn’t know if it would meet expectations. Still enjoying it?

I'm most likely going to start this tonight, I think there's only 3-4 episodes so I'll probably bang through them all. It's got an 8.4 on IMDB and while I don't always agree with the IMDB rating, when it's above 8 I usually do.

So I fell asleep last night, 3/4’s into the first episode. I’m finishing up the first episode and it absolutely has my attention. This is really f*cking cool. The “We have Chris Pratt at home” actor keeps throwing me off, thinking it IS Chris Pratt, but this is really well done so far. Occasionally there’s a scene or dialogue that feels a bit shoved in there, I think one actor only exists specifically to help tie scenes or set things up, then she has no other purpose. I think there were two scenes this episode and they were quick.

Definitely check it out.

Additional validation. Cool. It’s on the list!

I’m all caught up now. Doesn’t keep you guessing quite as much as Westworld, but there’s some aspects that are similar, for sure. Definitely a cool show, I’d binge the hell out of this. It still has those kind of jarring/awkward scenes, but they’re brief. I almost wonder if they were thrown in after they edited the show and realized “Hey, it doesn’t make sense how we got here”, then wrote a scene to bridge a gap. It’s not enough of a bother to stop watching by any means, but they bring it down to like an 8/10 instead of a 10/10.

I watched The Devil's Hour on Prime, that was actually pretty cool. I can't really describe it without giving the plot away immediately. Keeps you wondering the whole time but gives you more than enough at the end to satisfy you and wrap things up nicely while leaving the door open for a 2nd season. I'd give it a 7.5 IMDrewD scale. The only bad thing about it were the fight scenes, I don't know if they meant to speed the footage up in post and forgot or what, but they had me cracking up.

Per IMDrewB; gave latest season of Handmaid a shot. First 2 episodes are a little ugh but up to 6 now and it's actually really good.

Ok just watched Vengeance - BJ Novak’s movie. For just an intern on the office - he writes and directs well lol. We enjoyed it. Unexpected ending.

We have the last season of Handmaids Tale still on our list. If my wife can get past Moss’s face and the constant scowl closeups.

I just finished watching SAS Rogue Heroes.

It was GREAT and when Men were Men.

Season 1 has just been released and it has 6 one hr episodes.

If you liked Peaky Blinders it's the same guy who created this.

The sound track is a killer and hilarious.

Enjoy!

My son told me to watch this. BJ Novak is a tough sell for me. No way do I believe John Mayer would let him hang around him IRL :bag :rofl

@Fireproof watched Vengeance last night. Ended up liking it a lot, despite my predisposed general dislike of the main actor.
Awesome - that’s great to hear! Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised in general!

Tonight we watched Jordan Peele’s Nope. It was a solid watch! I enjoyed it and felt it was a very unique and creative take on an alien invasion story.

We liked it a lot. Great flick.

Next on our list is Barbarian and Bullet Train (which my wife will probably sit out for, LOL). 😁

And then Terrifier 2 whenever it comes to streaming.
