Haaaa! I would love nothing more than to share these amps. Unfortunately you would not be getting anything close to a Dumble by buying this product. This is why I ended my relationship with them.

does not have my permission nor my approval to release this product. These are my amps and my settings. I could not in good conscience put my name on this product when I heard the models. They are not accurate nor do they sound good.

I’ll withhold final judgement until I hear IK’s side, but if they really did go behind his back and are selling captures of his amps for $50… that would be pretty gross.

I’d also like to use this opportunity to remind @IK Multimedia that without a calibrated input level, you’ll never get repeatable results, no matter how good the machine learning is. And no, this isn’t gain staging.

Somehow Peter only seems to post when new products get released and then has to quickly go back into hiding when IK make decisions like this. I don’t really see any reason to doubt Bonamassa’s posts - if he wasn’t happy with the product or didn’t want his amps to be released in this state, then I could see why this would annoy him. Seems to be some sort of miscommunication along the way.

I don’t think he’d have say in the higher up decisions, think he’s just a rep. I’d imagine he either has other duties too or does it as a part time thing. I have no issues with Peter, and IMO no one else should. He has his ways of communicating with customers and would be customers, but he’s on our side really I think.

But there’s also limits with what kind of help he can provide, and I think he’s expected to probably focus more on announcements than building trust and rapport between users and IK as a company.

He's definitely caught in a sticky situation. Here he is, maintaining a presence on the forums to try to be the link between the market and IK, yet they are pulling some shady moves. I don't envy the poor guy at all. He's gotta eat & pay the bills too, but at the same time he's gotta sleep at night.
