IK is already on my “never buy from this company” list
Agreed....and my list is only getting longer.

I keep wondering if that's a topic worth discussing; do these companies have any clue that no matter what they produce, I ain't ever gonna buy from them?

yes, is this the case or just a hypothetical?
We don't know. But that is the point. We don't know, and we've got people slandering IK without the full story.

As much as them releasing his amps "without his permission" might look bad... it looks pretty bad that he's deleted the tweets and can't stand behind what he said.

I will happily rag on IK for how they treat their customers, because I have evidence for it, and I can apply logic to the situation. But this?? This all just seems very sus to me.

What a measured approach, can you please pick the pitchfork back up cause we're about to burn the barn down.

I dunno between IK being IK and him coming out and saying what he said there has to be some level of slime in the mix even if they get him on a contractual technicality... where there's smoke there's fire (and people with pitchforks). Not saying he's completely right but all a very "why am I not surprised" kinda situation.

True. Maybe he got his lawyers involved and they told him to delete the stuff and stay quiet until they deal with it... :idk

Or, maybe they got THEIR lawyers involved, and said "Hey Joebonny, you already signed this deal with us and those captures are ours! Now shut up before we sue you for defamation!"

We may never know, but I bet we'll still get a funny take on it in The Modeler Wars®

The one aspect of this that makes it interesting to me is that Joe is a really self-contained guy who clearly knows a thing or two about branding and working with other companies to put his name on stuff. It’s odd to me he’d get into a situation he wasn’t fully aware of all the possible outcomes, based off my perceptions of him.

His response seemed to be a personal reaction. Like there was a wrong in his mind before IK released the pack.

I don't know anything of the situation but I am not 100% sure the product released was his.

I'm sure he didn't delete on his own accord.

Too true.

And I regret jumping onto IKMM to early. Still pretty much convinced they're acting sort of shady.
Yet, in dubio pro reo. Should keep that in mind more often, mea culpa.

Deleted messages could easily be a lawyer saying “Take that shit down and let me handle it”.

Definitely interested in seeing how this plays out. Not particularly interested in either party, but just the topic/issue itself is an interesting one from a gear world POV.
