Rob Chapman "joins" Atomic Amps ..... "major new" release coming very soon

The struggle is real bro. (I hear that obnoxious laugh of his in nightmares)

Fuck the hyena laugh that pack of ball bags throw out every few minutes is honestly the worst bit in their videos. It's a sweet blessed relief when he wants to put on Ryan's world or a nature documentary about birds.

Rob Chapman is a member of the super human team.

Really? The digital modeler market feels completely saturated to me.
How so? There’s Kemper, Fractal, Line 6 and Neural for hardware. Then there are a million Chinese brands that probably ripped off code and stuck it in cheap shit modelers. Then there’s Headrush, using 15 year old shit.

Uh. Yeah. BOSS. Yeah. I forgot.

And Headrush. Then Mooer, NUX and whomelse for those with less money in their wallets.
Also, add things like the Iridium and such for those just replacing a pedal platform amp.
It's really just 'round these parts that only high end modeling counts as such. In the wild there's tons of people using all kinda stuff and IMO there's a wide range of offerings.

It’s funny. I saw a video he did about improvisation yesterday, and thought cool, no paid promotion, just Bea playing, great! And then right before he got into the heart of the topic, “and before we dive in, if you like this shirt, I just released it on my clothing line, go to XYZ and check it out” :facepalm
I believe that is one of the reason a lot of Rick Beato's videos get blocked for copyright as he will advertise his products/courses etc. in them

I said Headrush, as well as all the copies. And I was more referring to full-featured modelers, not pedal platform devices, but fair enough.

I guess there are a ton of companies, but I don’t really think of companies like Mooer, Nux, Hotone as doing anything innovative compared to the big four.

@mikah912 wrote earlier "...Funny enough, if you look on the Victory Amps web page under their "Artist Family" section, they explicitly say "If you want to sound like Richie Kotzen, Rob Chapman or Danish Pete."..."

Not to dig in on RC too much, but does he really have signature sound I'm missing out on or anything else I'm not-in-the-know here because I have never heard of him ascending to the top of the music world in a successful band or as an individual artist. I have only always know him as part owner of Chapman Guitars and Anderton's demo guest and then only because of Rabea & Matt's "Sounds Like" videos.

I know he is a very good guitarist from what I have seen on YT, and better than I will ever be, but even when I looked him up on Wikipedia it says, "Chapman is best known for his YouTube channel and video demonstrations on behalf of Andertons Music Co., alongside Anderton's owner, Lee "The Captain" Anderton.[1] He has also worked on demonstrations with Thomann, a Germany-based online music retailer."

Are we really getting to the point in the music industry where you can be better renowned as a YouTube personality vs a musician?

I personally don’t think so, but what do I know. I grew up watching people on stage, not on a couch. I guess talent and charisma should be independent of the venue, but there’s just nothing magical about YouTube.

If we go back in history there’s a myriad of crappy solid state amps that didn’t innovate anything. How many tube amp companies are really innovating, especially at the pace modeling companies have in the past 10-15 years?

Well it’s kind of apples/oranges thing, since the innovation on modelers is software based. But I think there’s still innovation in amps, like Mesa Boogie, Fender, BluGuitar, Revv. But yeah, there are a lot of “this is my take on a Fender/Marshall/Vox”
