Doesn't help TS'es in general (and yes, I own an original old one, malaysian chip and what have you...).

I remove the diodes from my real TS style pedals (SD-1), makes them so much more useable as a boost.
I really hate the sound of soft clipping diodes in the opamp feedback loop, couldn't be further away from tube clipping.

As far as I am aware there is no diodeless TS models in any modeler.

Plumes mode 2 is supposedly doideless right? But not exactly TS though.

In my old days - 1985 - I had a yellow Boss OD and an Ibanez T/S on my board. I always used the Boss for Rhythm Rock and the TS for solo'ing .... never ever any other way.

It was only many years later that I discovered how the TS worked that it all made sense to me ....... go figure .... what the guy in the store told me when where I bought them was right ! :) .... go figure !
