New Headrush pedalboard: Headrush Prime

Let's face it, for anyone not much into the details of whatever amp sounds and effects, this is a vastly more attractive thing to buy than, say, a Helix LT/Floor or a GT-1000. It's got a touch screen (that everybody knows from their smartphones and tablets already) and if your familiar with operating things via touchscreens and cabling up a typical guitar FX chain, you'll be up and running in no time. No need to install any editor, either, just place the thing on a desk and swipe away.
Might however be in a price range where people are already making more informed decisions.

Lol. Nice derail. If raw and dry drum samples is what you're looking for then BFD is still outstanding. It does have a mixer with effects but it's work. You can multi out and do everything in your daw if that's your thing.
All drum vsts have their place IMO. It depends what you're after.

Yeah. I’ll be honest - if this thing were about 75% of its current size, I’d likely be buying it to check out. But no one can I fit that on my desk, and it just seems too big on the floor. That was the impression I got when I saw the first gen Pedalboard in GC when it came out. There are many other things about it that are attractive…

Boss GT1000 would be a nice size. Why it gotta be so dang huge, LOL?

Quick reference to the original Headrush vs. my FM9 which is about as big as I’d want to go.

This image tells me that Pod Go is the absolute best size/features/prize package.

Yeah i see that Mooer GE something in the top right corner… but choose to ignore it.
Edit: lets ignore the zoom also…

Laugh it up, but you're not that wrong  Was just thinking the same about the GT-1000 from looking at that picture.

Those Headrush floorboards are massive though, dang.

Personally i think its a real pity that its so dumbed down compare to the HX stuff although it has most of the same sounds. I was personally very interested in the POD Go for long and the format is great but today i would most likely go for the Boss GX-100 which is not dumbed down, it has seamless preset switching and trails and you can pretty much freely assign effect blocks and footswitches and do paralell patchs unlike on a POD Go and its only about 100 dollar/euro more. If you dont mind the limitations of the POD GO its still a very good choice though.

Pod Go is the way to go if you want a slightly larger, gig-ready floorboard with an expression pedal.

I still think the HX Stomp XL is the price/size/features champion in the Helix line.

Probably true. But they ruined my wet fantasy about a growing Stomp system of expansion “modules”. I was asking for it right from the start with the Stomp. But those were of course fantasies and no matter how cool it would be I understood the reasoning for L6 to not go down that road of external accessories.
Hence: “low hanging fruit”, is a great box, I understand… but I’m still grumpy.
I wanted external switches made by Line 6 with led rings and command center controlling it and so on….

Except it sounds really bad. If it had the oversampling update, I would be ll over it.

Sure it is. Scenes.

Have they made it so "scenes" can change parameters on a block and not have to duplicate that block with separate settings? I was just thinking this morning about how important that is to me when I was setting up some snapshots on my Helix LT. I mean I suppose it's just skinning the cat differently and you could just set up separate presets due to the gapless switching but that's a PITA. Could do the same on Helix with spillover mode, just has to be basic patches.

I made a quick size comparison on Pedalplayground of Headrush pedalboard in the back and then Helix LT, Boss GX-100 and Stomp XL in the front.

The GX-100 comes at a most excellent form factor. Too bad that, in case I went Boss (which I may in fact do one day), I'd want some features exclusive to the GT-1000 (which fortunately is at least just somewhat deeper but not wider).
