New Headrush pedalboard: Headrush Prime

I thought Headrush had given up on their flagship product by undercutting it with their MX5. But I guess not, interesting.

Dang, it's already been 6 years since the Pedalboard first came out?! I guess it's time for a refresh, but... they're reusing the humongous chassis, meh.

HR Prime is completely open, people can drag and drop files and share content (legally purchased or otherwise) freely like on the Kemper; both IK and NDSP have something to worry about especially if HR brings it in a smaller format like the MX5.
People can share content (legally purchased or otherwise) on the ToneX pedal - just as long as you didn't buy it secondhand and/or have a non-free license for the ToneX software! ;)

How long has Helix Floor been out?

Now that I have gotten used to having the gigantic Helix LT in front of me it wouldn't bother me to use this thing, but like I said I'm giving it a bit. Not just for possible software fixes BUT the price may also come down if they don't sell great.

I'm curious what's going on with the new models from Revalver. Is it just effects or did they add amp/cab stuff as well? And is it different modeling tech compared to the pre-existing ones? Like just grabbing code from companies they bought over the years?

It's neat that they will likely have a bunch of new effects, but kind of odd that it's coming from acquisitions and not development. Will they have to buy up some more companies to keep expanding?

Let’s hope the deleted the stock cabs… because they fucking suck

I find it interesting mainly for the non-guitar features. I'm sure the guitar sounds are good enough for where you would use this. Having vocal processing, loops and backing tracks is great for a solo artist, small group, practicing or songwriting. $1299 is a tad steep since I have an FM9 but getting it on sale for those features alone may almost be worth it. Once they hit the used market I'd buy it.

Oh I don't know. In every Kemper, ToneX, QC vs amp video it's really hard to tell the difference. From couple of videos so far HR clones are clearly different. It could be the way to go, if you don't actually care about accurate profiles and just want to be able to say you're using profiles.
Otherwise, you can probably get the same, or better, level of accuracy with regular modeling.
I can easily match tones with revalver's cloning thing which apparently is in this headrush. It does it with less noise than the kemper...Multiple 100 dollar challenges to match the same amp with the helix haven't come anywhere near as close

Like the HX stomp and HXFX, its 8 years later, this thing better BURY the helix in terms of available DSP power. The HX stuff should have as well, but I realize how hard that would be to justify the helix floor price if they did that. Headrush is under no such constraint. 8 years is an eternity in DSP, it better fly!
