New Fractal speculation thread

What about a pedal smaller than the VP4 but only with Amps and Cabs?;)

Nice! What do you use to render this stuff and how long does it take to put this together?

Looks like there's enough space to make it a three-footswitch box...?
I do wonder if they'll reuse this UI. Seems likely but also limits the variety of products they can put out in this space.

Wouldnt an fm9 give you all this amd more in about same size/ cost
Could be, but if you already had FXs and only needed Fractal amps…. well

Modeling i use Sketchup, rendering is Keyshot. Both are compatible with each other and both are super fast. Keyshot uses a real time rendering preview, all of the readers i post are not actual renders but screenshot of the realtime preview window. Takes just seconds or a few minutes to look good

Absolutely 100% this.

I have gigs where I just need a clean amp, cab, slight reverb (usually Plate but can live with Room or Hall) and a clean boost for solos kind of rig. No jiggery-pokery with modulations or delays or anything else. I’ll ditch my FM3 if something as compact as that comes out from Fractal. I already have the Axe Fx III for other setups and tones and scenarios!

Once you add external power supply - how much would you save in terms of size/weight?

Yes, literally would!
I don't need to drown myself in the abundance of FX. All I want is superb quality Fractal amp-cab sounds, that none of the other manufacturers offer (debatable, but I am not up for a debate).

Oh and it has to be cheaper than a FM3 as well :grin and with that I have taken it too far..

I want these two combined together. FAS quality guitar/pickup modelling.
In a small floor unit, of course.

Now I use this for gigs and rehearsals:

I would like to add the SY-1000, but it would be toooo looong:facepalm

At this point the only thing that matters to me in the Fractalverse is plugins.

According to Cliff, you'll be waiting a long time.

For sure. I hope this view doesn’t eventually come back to bite them in the ass long term, because it’s a great platform otherwise. (Minus the plug aversion, tablet editors etc)

They could cut the price way down by making the pedal smaller, no screen, more knobs, and shift buttons to control amp parameters. Companion software could control Dyna Cabs. Arrow buttons to control cab selection. Sell each amp model separately as expansions.

Everyone has a different need/want......but I think if it comes down to price, I'd get rid of the screen. Also, it would be enticing from a business standpoint to sell each model separately.
