Studio tracking done. Now to wait for the mixing/mastering to get finished up.

Overall it was a great experience. If you're in the region, or able to get there, and play heavy/loud music, highly recommend 14:59 Studios.

If all goes as planned, look for the first song from this session to drop on all streaming services after the first of the year.

Got the final mixes of all three songs last night. We decided we're going to release them as an EP, then go back in the studio in 3-4 months and record a full-length album with two or three from the demo and four or five new ones.

The final mix has its warts, but I'm proud of the fact we didn't produce some over-polished, AI sounding, clean/perfect, sterile release. It sounds hairy, lumbering, violent and messy, like this sort of music is supposed to sound.

What's even cooler is we asked for a few specific references for final mastered version and it turns out the engineer who is going to master it actually mastered one of the albums we mentioned. So, if anyone is gonna get it into that territory, it's this cat.

Also have cover art for the EP in progress from a graphic novel artist I work with, so can't wait to reveal that too.

In the meantime, we're just doing the "Smash the like/subscribe button" thing via homemade graphics.

With 2025 just hours away, we're gearing up to drop a LOT of new music in the new year. Our debut EP will start off with a single, Ashes, which has been a crowd pleaser at shows and for those in the know.

This one lands on January 15th, but DistroKid etc is doing the whole "pre-order" thing across all the major streaming platforms.

I dig how they provide mock-up art for ya, too:

Having grown up on cassettes and CDs, it's cool to see this mock, even though cassette is like the physical form of the MP3 (terrible mediums for music reproduction).

This next one looks really cool. The EP cover is based on the song The Last Voyage, chronicling a shipwreck in a dark storm, but the alien ray lands just right. And since we have a few sci-fi themed songs, it made me

fCOdpTi.jpeg

The cover art is from internationally renowned graphic novel artist Sergio Ibanez, whose last name also adds to the multiple-meanings of things.

Anyway, we also had the demo from late 2023 re-mastered and will drop that soon. Then the rest of this EP will come out not long after.

Once all that's wrapped, our full length album, Lumbering Menace, is slated for a late Spring release. We start tracking that one next month. It's a 7-song odyssey of sorts that should give folks more to listen to between our gigs. This will feature the debut of our new lead guitar player. Killer guy with great ideas for new songs and killer leads/layers for existing ones.

Speaking of gigs, we're one of the featured bands in the first annual MN Doom Festival, dubbed SINKFEST 2025 along with local legends Living Through Ghosts and Northern Hammer. Pretty cool to get in on the ground floor of a festival - hoping it all goes well and grows in 2026 and beyond.

The guy at the bottom of the flyer is @FuzzyAce - he's opening the show with nothing but his silhouette and some off-color jokes. Gotta set the monochrome tone for all the skull-crushing heaviness.

After the festival, we're going back in the studio to record our second full-length album, which has a working title of Hunter-Killer with the hopes of releasing that at the end of summer/early fall.

Had our photo/video shoot yesterday. Our new lead guitar player works at a local brewery, so we went there to get pix and vid in all the pipework, vats, etc. The video will debut on 1.15 on Metal Devastation’s YT channel. Ill make sure to post a link here when it’s available.

We should have the pix ready next week. That means new pictures of me for your retina-burning pleasure. 🤣

Got home and the newest batch of stickers showed up too.

Been using HubCitySlaps for stickers and they’ve done great so far. Nice vinyl and great prices if anyone is looking to get stickers made.
