Mooer GS1000li profiler

Wow, you're spicy AF! :))) I don’t believe I told any nonsense. I received the device from MOOER to try out, but forming my opinion is entirely up to me. In the video, I tell facts and let the device speak for itself.

That is definitely how my regular musician friends look at me when I start talking about the next ambient patch I made on my HX Stomp.
My band mates are the same way. They always say something like "that's the Shit" or "Fuck'in A" etc. Then when they ask "How did you do that?", and I start talking about it, It's like I'm talking to a rock:rofl

Everyone likes to eat breakfast, but no one wants to know how the sausage is made¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just the usual YT gear reviewer answer. No matter how you put it, yours is NOT a user review, because as a user you would've waited and paid for the device. That is what my "nonsense" remark refered to.

In my mind battery is nice on the couch, maybe for a “sit in” at a bargig or rehearsal…but soon as you incorporate into a live rig…the extra task of making sure it’s charged..or the stress that you forgot to do so…put it off the map for me personally.

Yeah. I just thought about it. "How often would I've used the thing on batteries in the last, say, 2 years?"
The answer being: Possibly never. Or maybe once or twice because I could, defenitely not out of necessity.
Still a decent feature for a backup rig, as you only needed the unit, 1-2 cables and nothing else. But as it'd only be an emergency thing, I could possibly still use my rusty Zoom G3 or MS-50 (never actually had to use them in an emergency situation).

Yup. More than three songs and you’re staring at your battery bar…

I’m going to assume in some dark corner of the internet there is a forum for folks that are really into making sausage and they argue about all the details.

Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it and it was one of the first ones I watched yesterday morning. Great playing too!!

Don't take it personally, it takes a while for everyone to see if you are here to help and be part of the group or blow smoke up our snatch about the newest "Gamechanger snake-oil for guitar" to hit the market.

If you only come here to post about new gear you are reviewing, everyone has seen that bullshit before. Welcome to TGF, ball is in your court...

Question for you:

You mentioned Mooer sent you the device for free. Did they also pay you to make the video?

The feature set on this thing is very similar to the Hotone Ampero 2. They are different companies, but what people can expect going forward is that a lot of modelers will kind of converge into a similar thing: compact, 3-4 footswitches, 4-6" touchscreen, hopefully a few knobs.

I'm already out for anything that doesn't have any knobs on it. That tactile control truly makes a big difference, and is a big reason why computer editors suck too - no sensible way to have physical knobs you can grab and turn like you can on an amp or pedal.

Built in battery is a cool feature, but getting it replaced could be an issue for long term ownership, especially with a brand like Mooer.

I'd love to instead see the ability to power via USB-C using a powerbank, because then you can jury-rig your favorite powerbank solution to it. I already do this sort of thing on the Luminite M1, can do it with CIOKS 4 Expander etc. Second USB-C port just for power could be cool too.

To be honest, that really depends. The Zoom G3 is running around 6 hours on battery.

I saw a video that said it would last about 6 hours on a full charge.

Absolutely this (see my reply as well).
IMO having no decent amounts of proper encoders is also pretty much an index of a company cheaping out.

However, something I admittedly missed so far is that you can actually select a parameter and then use the right encoder to adjust it. Defenitely not as great as multiple mapped encoders, possibly still an ok-ish solution.

I bought the battery and myVolts cable to run my Stomp wireless. The power flickered once on my test runs at home and I was done because I realized I would never be able to stop thinking about it at a gig.

Keep it plugged in during gigs and if it loses the AC adapter power, you are still up and running. That's the best way to use it.
