No, touchscreens on guitar gear is a ridiculous gimmick, we all need to stop this at once.
Genuinely saddened to hear that. You're one of a handful of people in the industry who are worth listening to IMO.I like to wax poetic about these things but internet denizens are want to misconstrue my passion as a marketing stunt so I've largely withdrawn from sharing these days. It's ironic that the very thing (the internet) that was supposed to connect us all together has driven us so far apart.
I've been doing this for 20 years and I'm still learning new things. Part of the learning is coming up with new deterministic signals that can be used to analyze and compare.
While noodling on my guitar recently I heard something that my Deluxe Reverb did that the amp model did not. I tried several other amp modelers and none of them exhibited it either.
So I set out to figure out what I was hearing and why the amp did it and none of the modelers did.
27.00 is the culmination of that research. First I came up with a new stimulus that allowed measuring of the phenomenon. Then I had to figure
out what was causing it. I eventually figured out what was causing it. The challenge was then figuring out how to model it.

Tony McKenzie is still praying they release a plug-in so someone can crack it.Odds of that are 0.0000000%
At least he won’t be able to take it apart and old fart chuckle about the components he doesn’t know anything aboutTony McKenzie is still praying they release a plug-in so someone can crack it.
He’ll still complain he can’t open up the code in his free download of Visual Studio. At least he won’t be able to take it apart and old fart chuckle about the components he doesn’t know anything about
It’s a bit of a conundrum is’t itHe’ll still complain he can’t open up the code in his free download of Visual Studio.
I actually read that in that chucklehead's voice. It’s a bit of a conundrum is’t it
I mean this Fractal Fellow what is he hiding
Also I have to point out that this software will not run on windows 9 , so now this Fractal fellow wants me to go out and purchase another computer from that deep pockets American company
I say bollocks to that
Well, I was fixin' to blow off this new amp (happy with what I have in the ODS 100 Clean) but after this description, I am inclined to have a ceremony with that bad boy ;~))IIRC this model has so much gain it summons 13 black cats, lights up a pentagram under your carpet and makes the statues of Marry in the Vatican tear blood... all before you even plug in your guitar.
Jeff Dunham is an abomination.
He will probably have a virtual chopstick to point at things with.At least he won’t be able to take it apart and old fart chuckle about the components he doesn’t know anything about
Thank you, Cliff. Your relentless dedication is always much appreciated.I've been doing this for 20 years and I'm still learning new things. Part of the learning is coming up with new deterministic signals that can be used to analyze and compare.

Please, put me on the waiting list. My email is: ineeditnow@thankyou.gasWon't be much longer for the FM3/9. The engineers are spread a bit thin right now as we have a new product coming out in the next few weeks and they're putting the finishing touches on the firmware.
