Pretty rad having all the new toys on the FM3
Small price to pay compared with what you and your team have accomplished with the FM3We tried to get the new reverbs in there but the CPU hit would cause much consternation, I reckon.
Those new spring and plate algorithms are resource hogs.
Thanks to you and the team you've got there at Fractal Audio. This recent series of firmware updates has been truly amazing. We tried to get the new reverbs in there but the CPU hit would cause much consternation, I reckon.

One of the replies to Leon's video was something like "I can't believe people are excited about something that should've been there from the start". SMH.Yeah, I’ve seen the gapless switching being brought up in other modeler discussions and it usually starts off with “There’s no way for a company to do it without restricting resources and presets taking a major hit just to speed up the switching”……and the inevitable “Fractal did it” following. Should be interesting to see those discussions now that it’s on the FM3.
That's a shame, how much of a hit are we talking about? We tried to get the new reverbs in there but the CPU hit would cause much consternation, I reckon.

People are C*ck gobbler twats. Don't sweat it.One of the replies to Leon's video was something like "I can't believe people are excited about something that should've been there from the start". SMH.
You said you love reverbs though and that the pre reverb update wasn't up to parGapless switching and songs/setlists has me thinking it might be time to trade my FM9 for an FM3…

If you are enjoying the FM9 just stay the course imoThat’s true, that would be one thing I’d miss.

I thought about that or just use a separate preset but maybe the resources required are not just cpu or it can’t be implemented the same wayThat's a shame, how much of a hit are we talking about?
Would an option be to include them as their own models like "Hog Spring Medium" on the FM3, so they become a deliberate "Damn it, I'll sacrifice 50% of the CPU to have a killer reverb!" option for some "person, guitar and amp" type super simple presets?

Form factor matters a lot to me too. FM3 with gapless switching now has me itching to grab another FM3 as wellWe’ll see. I was originally thinking about an FM3. The only reason I went FM9 at the time was because of the gapless switching. Otherwise the form factor of the FM3 is better for me
True, for you Met Form factor is important and well no Spring Reverb might be a small trade off, I use the golden plate but before i always used the London and it was amazing as was the north and south churches, think there are plenty of reverbs that will work really wellWe’ll see.
