Fractal Talk

Until you reamp :grin. Seriously. If you don't want to burst the "kid with new shoes" bubble of happiness, do not reamp to compare with the previous FW. The changes that you perceive with an objective A/B comparison may not reflect all these exuberant explosions of joy and delight that you can read at the forum. Just play and smile 😃
Never reamp a red head!!!!!

Hey, it sounds better if you think it does :idk

Bullshit... Matt has posted a number of times in the thread which you are in.

Keep calm and don’t be this agressive , I said I don’t mind waiting 😅.
and I wanted to have some empathy for those who complains and fit into what they could think.

So first, it’s not about me at all it’s about analyzing a situation…. And just talk about it.

And that is not maybe the best communication for a company when some customers complain ? How much time before those buyers had a single message?

Again keep cool everyone, I just want to analyse the situation.

Personally, due to lack of communication for a certain time I was just afraid that due to the huge updates on the axe3 I would just not be possible to port it to the little fm3.

But if you see my messages you can also see that I was one of the first to state that I couldn’t see fractal let the fm3 not getting X3
I also was maybe the only one to state that it would be just ridiculous to give a « gapeless » update just to work again on X3. I clearly said that they would certainly take the time the relayez se the whole package.

So please can we stay calm here 😅

Its kind of weird when I think of it ... disclaimer ... I'm not currently a Fractal user.

My only issue with Fractal has nothing at all to do with their products .... it has only ever been that I personally just cannot stomach the a$$-licking, sycophancy, adoration and deification by a-not-small-number of Fractal users on their Forum and on some other Forums ... but that's just me.

My view is this ... whether you love or hate Fractal gear ...... for whatever reason ..... what, to me is beyond doubt, is that Cliff and the Companies commitment to perusing modelling excellence as they see and hear it is incontrovertible ... this is just a real fact.

And in their own-different way ... L6 are doing the same with Helix .... albeit noting that as L6 are serving a massively bigger world wide user base, they simply do not have the freedoms, flexibilities and almost-instant-respond-ability that a very small company like Fractal has.

I personally hope C-X3 is brilliant and better in every way compared to C-X2 ... and that it inspires more people to play their guitars ... as that is the sole point of any of these devices and all of this development and progress ... at least to me anyway.

I'm a very simple person. None of this seems like rocket science to me.

I took my meds today :)

Company must be doing great if that's the only gripe 🤣

But yeah I get it but you have to expect that on a forum specifically for a company. It's like the YT comments of bands "I love you. Come play at my party next week." signed with some cringe username directly correlated with the band.

I also think FAS is unique in that it's spearheaded by one person (for the most part) and they are active on the forums. People are able to put a person/name to their device and as you mentioned, Cliff has earned quite a reputation with his update pace (amongst various other things of course). I think that also contributed to the gushing.

At the end of the day, who cares. I get blah with it too but it doesn't matter one way or the other

I think it's reasonable to expect the FM3 public beta to come out today, since it was apparently veeerrry close to release on wednesday based on what was said by the man in charge of the whole operation.

...something can always go wrong ...
So you do understand that the release of items currently under development may in fact not be available when the company hoped.

...I personally just cannot stomach the a$$-licking,...

It's not my cup of tea either but some people actually do enjoy that stuff.

I've seen videos...

My Axe-Fx 3 + FC-12 is shipped to its next, hopefully happy owner.

I'm getting out early this time. I took a big enough hit selling my Axe-Fx 2 back when the 3 was released. While I expect we won't see an "Axe-Fx IV" until 2025 at the earliest, if even then (and who knows how long till "FM4/FM10"), I thought now would be a good time to jump off the wagon.

I started thinking about how many times I've fired up my Axe-Fx 3 in the past 6 months vs how many times I've fired up my pedalboard + BluGuitar Amp 1 (@Orvillain , :guiness) + real cabs. I've been playing the Axe maybe 10-20% of that time.

It's obviously a great box that does almost anything, but I need and use a much narrower set of all that and the rest is mainly clutter. I would also like something more compact and user friendly without a computer. Axe-Edit is great, but I'd like to be a bit less tied to a computer.

I'm sure I'll be back when Fractal make a "FM4" if Line6 hasn't beaten them to the punch.

I commend your thought process. For me; I can't routinely turn up an amp rig loud enough. When I do; it's :satan but the rest of the time it just doesn't make sense in my world. Unfortunately. If anything; I would like some slightly louder studio monitors for the III when I have the opportunity to come up another level.

I can totally understand that. It's why I sold my tube amps a few years ago, knew I wouldn't get enough regular use out of them.

I actually take my BluGuitar with me every time I visit my parents, so I can rock through my Bluetone 4x10 stashed in their basement as loud as I can handle. At home I have two BluGuitar 1x12 cabs and feel they sound good at quite reasonable volumes. Neighbors haven't complained yet.

Will I buy the BluGuitar Amp X? Maybe, I've been dreaming of a stereo or wet/dry Amp X + Amp 1 as poweramp rig since I have the two BluGuitar cabs and everything. I'd have to see the final product because I feel like I've already pretty much got what I need with pedals + Amp 1 in roughly the same form factor. I picked up a Nux Bumblebee M-size pedalboard today and plan to build a compact board on that.
