Fractal Talk

I think there are things like the GUI and maybe some captures you may miss but if your any kind of an fx junkie its not really a fair fight IMO
I love the QC interface/GUI... But the captures is not a consideration at all. In fact, in trying out some presets from the "Cortex Cloud", I blew out my 3rd gen 2i2. (I had to buy a new one... while the 4th gen 2i2 is nice, it's an expense I didn't need). I don't understand why levels can't be normalized somehow. Or why some users have these insanely stupidly high levels that would clip (or in my case blow up) anything they are connected to.

I've realized too that while the QC has great included presets and tones out of the box. There are a lot of amps missing. For example, an Orange Rockerverb. They have it (as factory) but it's a capture, not an amp model. My feeling is that Neural is more about the captures and their plug-ins and creating more amp models.

Too many people need their choices validated by the unwashed masses.

The cab proximity parameter will be your friend. I found the qc to have more natural bottom end until...

Actually, graphs and data have been posted to show that there is a baked in accentuation
of the bottom end and top end in the QC.

Do you want to send out the special Kool-Aid flavor for Fractal fanbois, or did you want me to handle this one?

I don’t want to beat up on anyone willing to take a peak over the fence. If it were still the ad hominem stuff towards a good amount of our members I’d be singin’ a different tune, but maybe the dude will find out why there’s so many Fractal fanboys! That said, if the dude doesn’t dig it and reverts back to calling everyone fanboys, have at it.
