Now why would someone want to hack TimBuck's account? What would they gain from it?

The standard doesn't have the larger scribble scripts nor the extra 11% processing power. Those would both be nice to have. I don't need either. Heck, I don't even need an FM9 at all. I have an Axe-FX III and FC6 rig as well. I just like nice things.

I was wondering if the Turbo had something I wasn't aware of.

More processing power is always good even if it's by a relatively small amount, and for anyone who had trouble reading the scribble scripts in the OG I can see how larger ones would be better.

I wouldn't personally go through the hassle of selling my OG FM9, possibly taking a loss on it, getting on the waitlist, and buying the Turbo just to get those two changes but I can see how someone might value them more than I do.

I upgraded from the Ultra to the II and then from the II to the III then added a FM9. I'd consider buying a future model if it had something I really wanted that wasn't available on what I currently have but for me it seems like more hassle than it's worth for an incremental improvement on current features.

I mean, if people wanna go through the resell-wait-rebuy cycle to get a MKII, cool. There's nothing bad about more processing power and bigger strips. I wouldn't say no to either.

I'm just not pursuing them. The game changer for me would be finding a way to get the III's processing power on the floor. That's worth whatever price and however long a wait that'll be.

there must be more then enlarged scribble strips? right
It would take a lot of chutzpah to call it a MkII if the only thing that changed was the size of the scribble strips! Then again, as Cliff has said elsewhere, he does what he wants ;~)) And he has every right to do so, the company would not be what it is (or even exist) without his genius!!

EDIT: Now that I think about it, the MkII FC12 had nothing other than large scribble strips compared to the OG (AFIK), so maybe this update is worthy of a new name :popcorn

The game changer for me would be if the new FM9 had relays like the FX8 that could change channels on channel switching heads that don't have MIDI.

I'd find that really useful and would definitely buy one.
