Fractal Talk

I mean you can just have whatever cuts the holes at the factory, to just cut larger holes. It doesn't mean it's a whole new design...
Well, I didn't say whole new design.

I commented that it is a new chassis. At least the top shell is.

As soon as the holes are cut differently, it's different ;)

New firmware is pretty sweet though
Silver Jubilee is great now

I'm with you. Funnily enough, I'm finding myself really turning up the mid control on the new Silver Jubilee, which essentially turns it into the Omega!

I'm finding in general that I'm only now, after a few years with the Axe-FX III, dialing in great Marshall tones. I feel like I'm heading over to Pastor @la szum's side of things with Marshalls in general, except I still love the hot rodded Marshall flavor amp models too. I used to dial in Marshalls to be able to switch between a great clean sound on a neck single-coil to a passable sound on a bridge humbucker, but the compromise was always too great. So now I just dial in separate amp settings for each tone and I'm finding it so easy to get great tone no matter the Marshall.

And on the 6th day the Lord said, "Let there be Marshalls!" :chef :banana

:rofl

I just find their combination of dynamics, sensitivity, cut in a mix, and ability to respond to
variations in guitar volume and tone second to none.

That's a great way to put it. I was conflating great dynamics from the guitar with the idea of one amp setting for everything. Now that I'm embracing different amp settings for different situations, I'm finding that my volume and tone knobs are even more useful.

This! I could use one of the plexi models to play pretty much everything with some tweaks, from blues to metal. A somewhat close second is the VH4 ch.3 in that regard, with a different (more modern?) voicing obviously

  • Redesigned the AMP block's Tone and Authentic pages.
Anyone post a snapshot of how it looks?

Very true.

I did up my own Jose 6CA7 a few weeks ago and finally got to track with it on a new song. Initially I was going to use different amps to blend with it, but I could pretty much get everything from classic metal to modern metal by tweaking the Gain and Mids, so it’s pretty much just that amp on the entire song.
