Would you guys feel comfortable having the Axe III on top of a valve amp sat inside a wooden rack case?

It's probably fine, but I'd rather put them the other way around, with the amp on top and Axe on bottom.

I assume the amp vents out on top or from the back whereas the Axe-Fx 3 does not really have much in terms of airflow. Its single fan on the processor pushes around whatever air can get in through the gaps in the chassis.

Yeah that was my worry. The amp vents from the back and the top. The only annoyance is, I don't think the amps would sit nicely on top of the rack case, but I'll give it a go.

I think it would be fine. My Axe3 is currently in a 4U SKB case with a Mesa 20/20. I have the amp on top, but it’s in the same case.

Fractal folk, what kind of boost would be equivalent to Recto "pushed" mode on the Dual Recto? I really like it, but you can't access pushed mode from a footswitch input or anything. So I figure use a boost on the Axe3 to emulate it.

That's one of my beefs with how some of the Amps are modeled---especially the Mesas. Not all of
the Modes are represented. Sure, you get Channels, but many of those Channels have 2 or 3 Modes
on them that I want access to on the Fractal before I depart this world.
