Fractal Audio Firmware Update Thread

I think there's a certain "sheen" you get with the static IRs that's simply not there with the Dina-Cabs.....at first I thought
that sheen was a good thing, but have come to really dig the Dina-Cabs.

I switched to Yorks for my gigging rig but (don't hate me) but still using the Boss IRs with my FAS presets. I'm very much looking forward to seeing if I can dethrone the emperor once and for all with the DynaCabs :unsure:

I don't get caught up in old vs. new/name vs. generic IRs anymore.

My FM9 is loaded with York IRs, and they're great, but recently I've almost exclusively been using factory defaults (ancient Redwirez greenbacks with my more Marshall-y stuff and ML "djent"/Mesa V30 with my more modern high gain presets). Sounds awesome, really - no blanket.

I feel your pain although with holiday tomorrow and short week we may have to wait a bit longer
Also want the Revv never was that impressed w that amp but watch a few Shawn Tubbs vids and man he makes them sound great

The Revv models they added sound great for sure, but the JP2C+ models are still my favorite in the Axe. The JP2C+ together with a mix of some Recto Dyna-Cabs is :chef
 
I always love more high gain options, but I'd be surprised if the Revv supplants my already long list of faves. The JVM410, Archon, Recto Orange (w/ Fortin Grind boost in the amp block), FAS Modern 1, JP2C, Mark IV... there's just so much already.
 
And we are back to arguing/whining/bitching about the use of the
term "Scenes" over at the Fractal Forum. :wat

Never felt so misled, cheated, and victimized in my life by a word that
doesn't do what I think it will, or should, do. Word touched in me in all
my sensitive places. :crazy
