Fractal Audio Firmware Update Thread

And when the beta comes out he'll say he doesn't want to install beta firmware.

Or he'll install it and bitch when there are bugs.

Zinfandel, really? I think Fractal stuff pairs better with a CAB-ernet sauvignon.

Only proper freedom grapes for tonight!

I also think people get way to bent out of shape the other way by people asking for info on updates
There is no need to call people entitled babies and become enraged because someone asks a simple question

I think to many times people mistake true excitement, for entitlement or complaints , when they really are not
The problem is how people enter the discussion. There's a thread on the Fractal forum that's a "simple question" asking if the FM9 is going to get the update. That one stayed pretty civil. But then you also get the whiny entitled babies who are exactly that.

My take on this is- Fractal isn’t lazy. Never has been. If my assumption is right, Cliff started working on the AxeFX about 20 years ago and hasn’t let up since. There’s a public track record from at least the last 13 of those 20 years where updates just spew out.

To even think “Is this thing being worked on?” is dimwitted and ignorant of a proven track record. To see that track record of an outpouring of updates and then somehow come to the conclusion that Fractal ISN’T doing everything they can to get the updates out on other products is also, IMO, dimwitted.
Generally I agree, though it's worth noting that some folks are new to the game and have no idea about Fractal's amazing track record. With that said, while that's understandable I hate how some of them come in swinging instead of recognizing that their lack of experience means they should be asking questions and becoming educated on the topic--not making snap judgements about things they're (understandably) ignorant about.

I’m still getting my feet wet using a Fractal Product.
Stupid questions are my forte.
That being said …
Read the room before throwing out bullrushing comments.

Seems the AXE folks are spending a lot of time updating lol
I can’t even keep track anymore w all the new and updated amps

There was 3 or 4 reworked Satriani JVMs
6 new Mesa Mark V models
A New Silver Jubilee
Reworked Recto1
5153 Stealth Green , Red , blue
JCM 800 2203 Hi / lo channels
Reworked tonestacks and tweaks to 1970 and 1959 Super Lead plexi
Tweaks to AC30 and Class A amps
Mesa Lonestar updates

And that’s just the amps updates side of the updates

I literally deleted from my comment above, a similar sentiment! It's a tough life at the top!! I wish the updates weren't so tasty, but they are very difficult to resist. Then of course, there are always adjustments/dialing in the new stuff!!! Maybe I should just get an FM3 so I have to wait ;~))

Not me bud.

Or just wait even if you have a III.

When I do finally update it will almost be like New Amp Day with all of the improvements and look at all the time I saved not installing every new update and then making the necessary adjustments.

I know, different strokes and all that but the update rabbit hole is something I'd definitely rather avoid.
