Whats coming in 2025 modeling wise?? bluamp x? helix replacement? fractal?

My uninformed daydreams:
* Fractal FM0: hopefully my idea of this which is just a box, no screen, no footswitches, no controls....
* Boss GX-1: the GT-1 finally ditches COSM and maybe gets a small touchscreen, or at least goes OLED...at a stocking-stuffer price point...

Also, it seems to me that Fender has a lot of daylight between the Mustang Micro and the TMP, so I wonder whether / when we'll see a small modeler from them....

I think there will be nothing from Kemper except a 4th paid upgrade level for the Profiler Player, actually making it..... a PROFILER / PLAYER instead of a Profile Player.

I kinda like it

If at all, Line 6 and Boss needed to come up with some new flagships. Both current lines have been milked extensively and by now, technology has moved on so much that people likely expect something *more*.

No idea what that "more" would be in L6 land, personally I'd wish for:
- Some nifty things such as polyphonic synth stuff, better pitch shifting and modulators.
- Better hardware.
- Maybe some kinda "freeform" amp and FX playgrounds.
- Better usability. I know, it's sort of great on the Floor/LT but severely lacking on anything else for various reasons. Mobile editors should be a must, too.

Boss defenitely needed to improve their amp modeling considerably and pretty much completely revisit all things UI. Sure, GX-alike touchscreens help, but their assignment paradigm still just sucks. And their mobile editors are a disgrace to humanity.

This was my prediction for last year, but I’m still holding out hope for a Powercab update from Line 6. I used to hold out hope for a technological breakthrough, but maybe I’m really hoping for a cost-to-profit breakthrough.

Just flicked from QC thread to here... this could go in either but since I'm here....

- VST for Cortex Control
Block style presets / all in one mix and match NDSP paid offerings (the amount of times I've wanted something like the petrucci compressor with Gojira and vice versa).

- QC/NC Captures available in VST
My current thirst for QC/NC captures is pretty low because NAM exists and is perfect for my personal use. But if NDSP captures were available in VST that would be pretty interesting. I would expect all captures to have to be done by their hardware (solves the input gain standardisation problem as well as a helpful walkthru). I think this would actually sell a bunch more units, I'd personally pick up a NC or QC pretty quick to muck around.

While we're here just do both of the above. Maybe they charge for Cortex Control but any user has access to downloading/playing back NDSP captures like ToneX, again another great revenue stream for a company who loves money.

Yeah. Powercabs are great in my experience, but very very overpriced - and competition has only gotten worse since they launched back in 2018.

The one thing I know for sure that'll get my attention (and money) would be a Fractal VA4. Hope that happens this year.
I'd like to see something from Line 6 too, but hard to predict what that would be.

Would be at least interested, too. Would likely only use it for recording purposes, though.
Definitely for recording, but it would make a killer live rig I'd imagine (not that I'm tearing up the stage anywhere these days :ROFLMAO:).
Throw in a few other tasty pedals and done.

^ I.m.h.o, you can bank on this - I have no doubt. I'm guessing the reaction to, and subsequent feature-down-creep between the Levels, means this will probably come later than first planned - when more dust has settled

I don't think we see anything groundbreaking this year. Maybe another repackage of an existing platform in a different box.
