Real guitar amps and cabs, rather than digital versions of them.

That's reasonable until you do the math and see that simulation is way cheaper and more versatile. To each their own I guess.

I'm surprised to hear that I like the DSL pedal as much as I do. I never even considered looking at JCM2000's. Looks like they're relatively inexpensive on the used market. That's another rabbit hole I'll have to go down, I guess.

A couple of weeks before I posted this, I'd seen an incredible Sabbath tribute band whose guitarist's tone was perfect throughout. I noticed from a distance that he was running a Marshall head and cab; didn't think to check what, exactly. Well, I caught them again on Saturday night, and thought I ought to find out... What do you know? It was a JCM2000. :) These things are like $750 or $800 used. Seems like quite a bargain. What am I missing?

P.S./ PSA: If you're anywhere near CT, keep an eye out for this band, "Sabotage". No shit, these two shows sounded better than any actual Black Sabbath concert I've ever seen.

They're awesome, but you know, they kinda sound like shit. Which is barely even relevant.
