What are we watching now?

Never heard of the story. I generally trust Apple with their streaming content though.

Apple is surely capable of throwing some filler around. Invasion was a complete turd, and I'm just praying at this point that they don't do another season of "See". We're just invested enough to watch it, but there's no hope of our actually "enjoying" it. The mercy lies in the fact that no one will ever remember the 20+ hours they threw away watching this stuff.

Netflix has their own formula for series: "Would you like to watch quirky people bake cakes, or hear every last detail about everyone who ever considered killing anyone?" Both of these seem to work for them, somehow? Most of their original full-length films are pretty mediocre.

Plowed through a few more episodes of Dahmer. I know why we needed the first half of the season to be what it was. This second half is full of really heartbreaking stuff, despite the gruesome nature of the story. Great performances from everyone.

I’ve still got to get to dahmer. Just finished S1 of true detectives which was pretty good. Rotating between rings of power, new GoT, and Pennyworth at the moment. GoT is pretty good I think, not a huge fan of the other two but watching them anyway…

Ah man… I’ve forgot about GoT… it’s on my watch list… really feels like the whole world has seen everything and I’m back in the restroom trying to get my pants up but I can’t because my spine is killing me and I accidentally spilled the drink and popcorn in the hallway….

Damn West World also is on a list… and damn I just remembered i unsubbed HBO

Pennyworth seems solid-ish? I have watched bits and pieces of it and I do want to like it. Not sure if I do just yet though.

Solidish sounds about right. It has its ups and downs. On my own I might have bailed on it if there was something else I was interested in, but my wife likes it so here we are. I’ve seen better and seen worse. It’s entertaining.

You said you just finished the sopranos, so if you haven’t seen The Wire yet that’s the one to watch if you’re in the mood. It’s one of the best things to happen to television IMO.

You said you just finished the sopranos, so if you haven’t seen The Wire yet that’s the one to watch if you’re in the mood. It’s one of the best things to happen to television IMO.

I don't watch much TV these days apart from cooking/travel shows and guitar content on
Youtube. I have a super hard time sitting still for long, and when I swore off "social media"
for mental health reasons I also vowed to limit my TV viewing. This doesn't count as "social
media" does it? Please say, "No!"

I cancelled all but one streaming app, too. I have to say I am getting more projects done, and
I am not dreaming of being chopped into pieces and placed in some incel's chest freezer.

Soooooooooo many good ones. It's a little long winded and certainly up to the sensitivities of the end user; but I think Django Unchained was about as much of a spiritual successor to the quintessential spaghetti western as you will ever get. With the Tarantino flair.
