What are we watching now?

Maybe I already missed the discussion of it, but started Loudermilk last week and really enjoying it. Its got a lot of bumps in the road, but the parts that are good are really good.

I keep seeing the still on my Netflix feed. I keep confusing it for that Letterkenny thing on Hulu. Which I sort of enjoyed as a "Napoleon Dynamite for 20 somethings" for an episode or 2 but my wife did not share my enjoyment.

Loudermilk = Office Space done in the context of addiction recovery and with more warmth, all set in the world of High Fidelity, if that at all makes any sense?

That sounds great actually.

On the subject of Office Space (sort of?); watched the Blackberry movie last night. With bald Dennis and Jay Baruchel(?). GREAT flick about the creation of the Blackberry. I loved mine all those years ago :love Perfect casting and just really good watch if you haven't caught it.

I'm kinda over sex scene for the sake of itself with zero useful content thing. If it makes sense in the story it's one thing. But it usually doesn't
I remember in the '80s/ early '90s when "the sex scene" was a fixture in every major movie, much like the guitar solo 2/3 of the way through every rock song. The convention got increasingly cringey until it just suddenly vanished. Seems to be making a comeback, though. :/

Sounds intriguing. On Loudermilk, my wife is digging it at least as much as I am.

HOW WERE YOU GONNA GET ALL THE VIEWS ON SKINEMAX WITHOUT THE BIG SEX SCENE?!?!?!?!? It makes a looooooot less sense in today's media environment....

Dennis' rage is a perfect fit for his character in this one. The camera work is very The Office (not Office Space)-centric. Been wanting to catch it for some time and the show hole finally got to me.

Watching other people have sex is always fucking awkward and borderline pervy?

:sofa

Can you imagine our ancestors before Porn and Erotica?

"Hey, let's go over to Sal and Lisa's Tipi and watch them knock one out?"

:rofl

Peeping Tomming was the first form of pornography.

My name is not Tom. Watching other people fuck is never something I am keen on.

I say that knowing voyeurism is a popular fetish and billions of sub-humans love that
shit!

:rofl

It's an irritating tactic to get people engaged with a show. I would rather have, oh I don't know; interesting characters and storyline?:ROFLMAO:

bit too much of a dick?
Here I Am Mirror GIF by Jeopardy!

Yeah, there are aspects of it that are a little bumpy -- and the writing around the degree of his prickliness is definitely one of the bumpy bits.

I've started re-watching Letterkenny recently.

I. Love. This. Freaking. Show.

The dialog in the first few seasons is so fast paced and brilliant. On the second go around, I'm amazed how fleshed out the characters were from the start of the first season. The callbacks never stop coming.

Also, the spinoff "Shorsey" is fantastic as well.

Started Loudermilk. Pretty good so far. Though Loudermilk is bit too much of a dick? Will Sasso is great to see \m/
Final two episodes of the 3rd season on the watch list for this evening. I feel like we are either on the cusp of either (1) some big revelation about his prickishness; (2) some sort of genuine come-uppance about his prickishness; or (3) some serious frustration about them still not quite resolving the "I get that he's a prick, but . . . it all seems a LITTLE too heavy handed?" Will report back with generalized answer to whether it was or wasn't #3 so you can have some sense of what you're wandering into if its getting to be a little bit of a chore.

Yeah we finished up S1 last night. He has good intentions but I feel like a good kick to the balls might do him some good :hmm:grin

I liked the story arc of the first season, but (1) felt like the acting chops of the late introduced character were just not at all up to the required level to pull off that plot line; (2) the whole thing just felt a little short-cutted/under-developed.

Poor Things.

Absolutely loved it! Best thing since Parasite or Everything Everywhere All at Once. Although you can take that comment that with a grain of salt, because I don't see a lot of movies or watch as much as you guys seem to watch. Always enjoy Emma Stone.

I can totally see why some people might hate it though. Could be pretty devisive. And totally NSFW / not safe for polite company BTW.
