Watched Gladiator II last night. Up till midnight because of this fact. Boo.

You aren't going to match anything about it. Ever. You can't create charisma or emotion with CGI.

Denzel was good enough because it's Denzel. He's no Oliver Reed though.

Paul Mescal was fine and showed a bit of charm. Nowhere near Crowe though.

The Joacuquin replacement twins were absolutely assinine and just beyond terrible.

Pedro Pascal and his Marvin the Martian voice made me want to punch him in the face. Please go back to when the Madalorian was good.

CGI crap was obvious and especially the sharknado section Bonus hate for Ozempic Pompidou actor who I absolutely loathe in a bit part.

As far as ties to the original and extra bits or narrative to make this work; ehh. Overall a 4/10. It has been a bit since I went to the theater but I continue to see why I prefer movies on the couch 1bazillion percent over the "theater experience".
