That's awesome!! I spent a week on a sailboat in the Abacos in the Bahamas a few years ago. I prefer warm water sailing!

My early retirement plans involve taking a few years and sailing the Caribbean. I would go around the world, but that would probably cause a divorce and sailing on 1/2 of a sailboat may not work too well...

I had a boss with the wife and two little grade school kids, who decided to sail around the world for a few years.

I think he had a satellite modem for remote work from the boat. This was probably 25 years ago?

They had a school curriculum they had purchased for educating their children while sailing.

He wrote a daily web journal about the whole thing, and I was able to read about it page by page… Fascinating!

The best thing was, I worked for a guy who appreciated and understood working remotely.

I had a friend who lived camped out in his van for a few years. He lived this way and put himself through school. He's in a huge house now making more money than I am.
