Stealth 50 incoming

It's unbridled af sounding! It is a bit more controllable through the FR12 but it definitely is more sensitive to how I have whatever rig gain staged. More prone to feeding back. I kinda like that vibe with teles, if I'm being honest; provided I can wrangle it in just enough to be "controllable". I have the new bridge and tuners installed so I am going to give it a rest for a bit before I decide to take it apart again.
Nice! Did you go with gold? We’re gonna need pics

Do you still have the True Velvets in there?

If you’re ever feeling adventurous the EMG T set are really great Tele pickups. Especially with the SPC on the bridge!

I kept it silver for bridge and tuners. Mainly because there was a control plate in that same finish and matching the gold I think would have been a little too picky for my usual OCD fest :nails True Velvets are still in there!

In 4cm especially; the Badlander has claimed another victim. The Stealth blue channel is great and it would slay with some fx in the loop through traditional cabinets. But like really every amp that has went up against it; the Badlander's ridiculously low noise floor compared to other amps is just straight up astonishing imo. Stealth is not back in it's box but I continue to really struggle to find something in an amp that can hold it's own at least for my working situation. It's nuts.

Contradictory findings Day 4 bazillion: Post FX, with levels on the III down a bit and the Stealth is GOOD. This clean channel is beautiful for such a high gainer! Certainly enough gain on tap on the other channels to not need a boost :satan Imma bite the bullet and gig it this coming Friday \m/ I'll use the footswitch for now and worry about channel switching via midi after a gig under my belt.

I didn't know you were a Crate guy.

Jive Just a heads up if you still have dimarzios in the tele And they are areas they don’t play well with traditional bridges. Lots of weird noises that can be like howling. You need stainless or brass I believe. I use gotoh modern which is brass and sounds great.

Interesting. It had an ashtray which howled and I swapped it out fir trad bridge. It has the True Velvet set? Howly af with gain and volume. I'm either going to play clean or get a stacked single coil.

What do you mean by traditional bridges? I spent a ton of time gigging a Tele with a an ashtray bridge, 3 brass saddles, and areas and I never experienced that

True Velvet are regular so no issues. Only the stacked humbuckers have the noise issue.

Is it both pickups or just bridge?

The Dimarzio area stacked humbuckers are prone to noise in magnetic bridges due to the design. So stamped steel bridges can cause a lot of hum. Stainless steel and brass bridges should not be an issue.

Seems much worse through my amps vs. FM into FR. Could just be a levels thing. Maybe I'll put my mini decimator in play? Just the bridge, fwiw.

Do you have any other single coil bridge guitars?

Is it at all related to grounding (i.e. when you touch the strings or input jack metal)?

Gigged the Stealth and the III last night
g9B9ikSl.jpg

Stayed on the blue channel all night with an occasional boost from the Bosom Boost in the FAS. Blue is stellar. I thought I was going to be overgained for what we do but not at all. Some GASP-style things I have come to realize:

1. I need better access to levels on my synth gear when we play live. Trumpets that blast your face during load in and set up suddenly are nowhere to be found once the band all turns up. An open top rack case would be perfect for that. (Or a head sized pedal board with GM and FM3) that sits on top of my amp and I can control remotely via my FC12.

2. My addiction to JT Industries IRs will always be my weak spot. No matter what; I will always sound like me. For better or worse :ROFLMAO:

The III truly is a joy. I don't know if I just hopped back on the train when it was about to get spicy af or what the case is. But I am loving the shit out of it :love

Can we hug? I am about to lose it over here. :ROFLMAO:

That is one drinkey-poo spill, or faulty kick of the tires from a size 12 away from we all know what.

May we never see that like that again. Ever!

Its wider than the cabinet so keeping it on the bottom looks better (for me) vs T-stack and helps with bass coupling. Which is especially helpful in this room where it's like a total rig swallower.
