Yeah, if you run too much gain, your sleeves fall right off.Yeah ToneWars dude is always chucking pedals in front of things that are, um; not needing pedals. At least from a gain perspective? The whole sculpting the input tone thing is real but that dude is just dumping the gain on top of the amp gain

I'm gonna gig it here December 1st. Perfect size for my OCD and I can run just post FX vs. the BL which needs a boost up front. Should be a good channel switcher. Might be a little too evil but we'll see I haven't decided on whether I am going to gig the III for post fx, switching and routing or use the FM9 board as it is now.
I'm excited!
I think the heat dissipation worries me most about this. The 6 space SKB and done with dual 112s on top. No room for the GM800 though. Unless I velcro'd it upright in the back of the rackI almost went down the path of getting a rack mount BL to rack with the III and a shelf for a few pre effects.
I always thought it would be nice to have all that in a rolling rack I can just wheel up to the stage and park next to a cab

I did the math and according to the specs of each piece; it'd end up being around 65lbs. Too heavy for these macaroni armsGet dual lock and Velcro it to the side!
Or you could get the 8u and add a shelf for pedals
I’ve wondered about heat too, but it seems like a ton of players have been doing it this way for a long time so it must not be too bad?

Dug through my tube pile and I have an AT I can throw in the red to get that gain down a hair. I think. We'll seeAwesome.
Stealth 50 is one of the best high gain amps I’ve owned. Blue channel is fantastic. Surprisingly good clean channel.
Definitely a slapper.

It'll be here by Tuesday I am so stuck on Boogie its gonna be interesting to see how easy it is to back away. The funny thing is when I owned it I thought the red channel was over gained, and I just lived on the blue channel (which is glorious) but now using it on the Axe I kinda like the compression on the red channel for a different flavor. I’d be curious what you think after the tube swap, seems a pretty popular mod to tame the red channel.
That Blue channel! For me; I will be able to get enough gain out of the onboard channels and not need a dirt pedal up front at times like the BL.
