No apologiesSorry for the brief thread hijack.

Except on the player sideIt's EVH all the way down!

I think your link goes to a spam site? Its Jive's thread, and I know Jive never tires of seeing these pics, so:
My FM3-based combo amp
Looks like a fun project. I wish I had the tools/space/skills/time/etc to do some wood working type projects. I am always building rigs and electronic projects (some music but a lot of other stuff too). Love this kind of thing. In the past I’d pull my Dad in for the “making the...www.thegearpage.net
That's f'n awesome!VERY pleased with the results

It kinda seems like it; what with the dreaded Silent Stage Phenomenon always nipping at our heelsSweet!
Technically, isn't that considered a Full Stack in the 2020's.![]()
I thought the 20's stack was your GR-55-on-muh-Kemper-on-muh-pedalboard stack that internet image searching does not give me any hits on?It kinda seems like it; what with the dreaded Silent Stage Phenomenon always nipping at our heels![]()
If there is one takeaway point from this thread (which did actually inspire my actions yesterday morning to a degree):I wasn't going to put this. But I am putting this.
The physics of cabinets, especially since I started using amp modeling; have had me struggling. I fight with my own perceptions on this piece of the rig chain quite a bit. Especially around meal time where my brain is in overthink mode.
I LOVE 412s but they have to be up LOUD where the sound is at least "even" with what the physics of the experience are giving me. 212s are a lesser but almost worse situation where they are too much to lug around and I don't generally l like what I get out of them.
With 112s; I feel like I get more of the pure amp tone and experience without relying on that OOMPH that a 412 gives you. It's not that there's anything wrong with that (pro-tip: because there isn't). It's just I really find myself struggling with the low end as speaker count and enclosure size goes up.
This is all gobbley-gook; I know. It's just what my food lacking brain is up to at the moment![]()
Dummy question but are the F12s the same as the Fender "FRFR" speakers you have been enjoying?Done thinking and went ahead and swapped my F12s into the EVH cabs![]()

Sorry. So many Fs and 12s. No. It's Celestion F12 speakers that you can use for modeling stuff. I put the EVH speakers in my semi open back cabs. Haven't had a chance to test them out in that config.Dummy question but are the F12s the same as the Fender ""FRFR"" speakers you have been enjoying?
At the end of the day; the aesthetics of the matching cabs with the Celestion F12s beat out the EVH speakers. I have them in my other cabs (that I'll never play through)>not happy with cab options for Stealth
>buys EVH cabs
>make them to be for fractal instead
