I only have the lame OG version, but I think the 5153s compliment Rectos very well

That Blue channel! For me; I will be able to get enough gain out of the onboard channels and not need a dirt pedal up front at times like the BL.

I've heard of people boosting these amps but I can't imagine

Perhaps would be interesting to throw an sd-1 in front of the blue tho...

Yeah ToneWars dude is always chucking pedals in front of things that are, um; not needing pedals. At least from a gain perspective? The whole sculpting the input tone thing is real but that dude is just dumping the gain on top of the amp gain

I'm gonna gig it here December 1st. Perfect size for my OCD and I can run just post FX vs. the BL which needs a boost up front. Should be a good channel switcher. Might be a little too evil but we'll see I haven't decided on whether I am going to gig the III for post fx, switching and routing or use the FM9 board as it is now.
