Not sure if it's quite comparable, but you can buy a new ToneX One + ToneX Capture for less than a Nano Cortex.

Well, you need a computer for that to work.

Actually, the fact that you can capture an amp with a device powered by a USB brick or such, is quite something, especially in case you're fine with amp-only captures. Find running amp, connect DI box between speaker out and cab, run two cables from the NC, start capturing. Not bad, really.

You can have any modulation effect (as long as it's Chorus), any delay effect (as long as it's Analog Delay) and any Reverb (as long as it's Mind Hall). What year is this? I'm being completely serious here...it would have been less insulting if they had made this a pure amp device.

And I have struggled with high gain amps in Tone X. They seem to have an inherent fuzz to them. Never had that issue with the QC.

I have to imagine it's a DSP issue? Not that it's an excuse but it's comical (in a good way) how compact this thing isn

USB-C is almost as common place as USB these days. I got a few extra adapters lying around the house if anyone needs one.

You pay postage, of course.
Dude. You're gonna send a PSU for a Nano Cortex to a TGF member? Have you forgotten what they did to NDSP??

Yeah the QC is portable enough as is that scaling down is going to really have to be "buy it just because you want one" or you have some super-niche case where your footprint has to be as microscopic as possible. Losing that touchscreen when you are used to it would suck I'd think.
The biggest red flag for me was looking at the FX list... seeing first that it was a fixed order... then noting that none of the blocks were utility blocks, e.g. Loop Send/ Return. And oh by the way, there's no FX loop in first place. This is probably going to throw a wrench in for most of my guitar synth shenanigans.

Glass half empty kinda person, eh?

It's $550 and contains the same tones and capturing ability as its $1,700 big brother.
A decent delay, verb, and chorus w/vibrato is all you need for most people.
It's meant, I assume, for jamming, rehearsals, and gigs - not tone sculpting an album.

Also, it's only $550.

That’s not very helpful for a live pedalboard rig.

Unless it will also provide bus power to the USB midi controller
USB-C almost certainly will. But I acknowledge that you might have to make some changes in your choice of controller(s).

GAME CHANGER
At this point I am hating the players AND the game.

I've gotta catch up with this thread so I can actually skim through the Owner's Manual.

I assume you can supplement the Factory Captures with User Captures downloaded from the cloud? Isn't that half the point of the app?
Definitely
I would be looking at grabbing some from that Hotrats and Headfirst guys for sure
There are some great ones on cloud

It would be pretty easy to HX Stomp all over that argument. ;)
