Neural DSP Talk

Damn that’s some Mr Fantastic (or Mrs Incredible, if you please) levels of reach there.

It's more likely going to be a Bogren plugin than a NDSP one to be fair; Euge's already in very good terms with them and has a signature IR.
He has recently made a lot of videos about NDSP, and is now also touring with a QC. His focus no longer seems to be so much on Bogren Digital, hence my guess that it might be a Neural Plugin. The timing would also make sense, as the current sale ends next week.

I'd also argue that he may not be a big name but when Asato dropped my first thought was "who the fuck is that and why is this the archetype they designed?"

Yeah but an Archetype <insert name here> usually comes with typically 3 amps; Euge's said only his JCM800 was sent out. My bet's still on Bogren but whatever company it comes from, I bet it'll sound great.

I love those Bogren plugins, sound great and are just stupid easy to get going - obviously.

Edit - looks like they don't have a Marshall type either - so that's a no brainer.

So, bar the X updates, NDSP haven't released any new plugin for a good while now.. wonder what's going on. They'd usually have about 2 plugins per year IIRC.

I'd imagine all their manpower is focused on re-making the plugins they've already made to run on the QC since they're not actually "porting" the plugins to the QC, but making entirely new blocks that sound the same as the plugin blocks.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in their meetings between the time Doug said, "Sure, no problem!" and right up to the point they started remaking the plug-ins, particularly around the time they realized their only choice was to remake the plugins. There had to have been a "If we do this, we won't have any resources for anything else but this for the foreseeable future"....to which someone else said "Release the TINA!" :rofl

Can imagine sales for the last few releases were slowing down too and they probably know they can build demand a bit more by releasing less frequently. Part of how the hype machine operates.

Trying to think what I’d like to see…

Recto suite
Diezel suite
Cantrell or Adam Jones Archetype?
Jubilee or Plexi etc is getting a bit of a stretch.
Not sure Orange would really excite me but that basically says a lot about the products they have out already scratching most itches.

I believe the reason for the silence around plugins is that the team invested significant time developing the Archetype: Giacomo Turra plugin, which was nearly ready for release. However, they’ve had to pivot, and now they don’t have another plugin prepared for launch.

Do you truly believe that or satire?

Hilarious if this was truly the case

I'd love a Friedman BE-100 Deluxe thing or similar (Wizard, Fortin Evil Pumpkin, Fryette stuff etc.).

The last X update was 3 1/2 months ago and the last new plugin was released in December 2023, 1 1/2 years ago. It would be nice to get something new again.

Archetype: Turra-Now Featuring GuitarPro5 Player! Load your MIDI files into your QC or plugin and it'll spit it out exactly the same way every time! Perfect for faking your playing in IG videos!

I don’t even know who that is so you are likely correct
