Silver jubilee for helix thread

The JCM800 has been a model I've been playing for decades, on various modelers that I have gigged and recorded with, and heard it on countless records and recognize them, so it was easy to follow along the 2203 Helix thread by James.

My curiosity has now peaked regd. This Jubilee that everyone is talking about. Please educate me about this amp.. any famous recordings using this? What is this amp known for? Which styles and genres? Which pedals does it take well, what are the most famous pedal and cab pairings for this amp? Etc.

Here are some Jube guys...

JohnFruciante

Slash

Steve morse

Bonamassa

Zakk wylde No Rest For The Wicked

Alvin lee

Rich robinsson –black crowes

John Norum

Gary Holt
Did Zakk use the jubes?
I had always read he used that Metaltronix or Ampeg LeeJackson on NRFTW
At any rate that was a great tone

here's a story when they announced the Quad Cortex it was supposed to have a Jube...of course it didn't and took a while so i got a Jube instead.
That, my 1974 TMB, and Krampe Brown Deluxe/800 mongrel are my go to stuff.

Yes, it is very different than the JCM800 2203, a classic of its own, I mean RUSH, Slash, RHCP.
A few hundreds of posts like this and maybe it will gain some attention at L6 HQ. :p
Not sure if you know the story about Martin Kidd Ed is alluding to above but I believe that the Cornford are plate driven as well

There are not too many that uses that that I know of Splawn , Engl ( some of them) The Mesa Triple crown , the Wizards for sure which are based on hot rodded jubes
But there is a definite difference to me in feel compared to the CF that lends a more compressed , bouncier kind of attack

Out of context... I love the Fractal model of the AgJub, use it all the time, like at our Christmas party gig this past Saturday night, ah purely love those tones...:chef
