Silver jubilee for helix thread

you mean price in the US? Take that up with the distributor and dealers.
In Germany the 2555x is €1129 and 2525h is 799.-

I got a 2525c the combo version a few years back (before Brexit) new for 600 bucks.
Damn, for those prices, it would make sense to go on a road trip and ship it back yourself and get a mini vacation out of it.

They’re the same origin and manufacturing as the dsl20, and priced considerably higher. They’re nearly 2x as expensive in the UK and more than 2X as expensive in the US. If they were priced more in line with what they are, I’d think they were great.

For what they actually priced them at, I think there are better and more interesting options available, YMMV.

I grabbed one of my JMPs back 20 years ago when I had to go to a tradeshow in Germany, to bring it back to the US. Took the tubes out and bubble wrapped the amp, luggage surcharge was like 60 bucks.

If anything it's comparable to the dsl40 and the price difference is 100 bucks

If you visit the Marshall webpage for the 2525H, they make a big deal about it being "Handmade in the England".

No such fuss is made over where the 2555X or DSL20H are made, which would suggest to me they are likely from a far east origin, although the sale listings for the 2555X do tend to say it is made in England.

Some googling reveals they populate the boards and wave solder them, as well do the cabinetry in the UK fir the 2525

Obviously the components like x-firmer etc all come from Marshall Vietnam.

But yes I'm good with the 600 bucks i paid for the 2525c new irregardless if it wasn't made in the UK.

2555x is also UK made. As are 1959hwand 1987x, 2203 RI is not....
