Namm 2025 predictions

Honestly at this point I feel like I might as well be looking at the Astro since if I got a Syn20 I would put an SLO 2module in it

My understanding is that the clean on the Synergy is the same and the purple and red galaxies are basically the SLO 2 crunch / OD
The SLO2 module reviews around here aren't too glowing. Seems the consensus is the OG is better.

Not sure though, as I've not played it. Have played the Astro though, and it's great. Needs knob mod though, as I believe someone here did. Those are THE dumbest knobs for any amp, much less something as cramped as the Astro.

This guy plays both at about the 23 mins
The SLO 2 sounds like it a bit bigger , more gain and a bit more sizzle in top
Pete Thorn said to him the top end had a more Marshall kind of bit vs the smoothness of the actual amp

Welp I think that’s about a wrap pretty slow for the modeller fans

- NDSP looks like a no show , someone posted the empty booth just a number and no soon this time , I kind of half expected at least and update announcement for QC and nano

- line6 pod go update nothing else

- IK dispelled the rumour of ToneX pro and said the photos online were fakes and said they are still working on the stand alone editor that they hope to have out in the spring , it will be next update as well as more software improvements

Quite disappointing really.

I feel like Synergy/BAD was the only one who really hit it out of the park.

Otherwise my highlight of this week was the fw update to create captures on the Ampero 2 Stomp. I'll try it out more next week, but very positive about the results.

And watching a friend's cats over the weekend. I've gotten some much needed cat petting therapy. :giggle:

IK needs to do three things, IMO (at least, for a start).
1. Fix their fucking software.
2. Come out with an editor.
3. Come out with a fucking USB interface DI/Reamp that allows for proper levels for capturing.

Ampero is doing a great job at improving their stuff and is pretty much kicking everyone’s ass at the moment other than maybe Fractal

Line 6 honestly had just become the Thomas Blug of modelling many asking for something new but nothing seems to come and it’s sort of a boring conversation
Love DI and the staff but the wait for them to have something new and continuing Helix into year 11is not super exciting anymore

Considering all the fanfare of companies returning to it this year, it was very underwhelming.

My favorite release was the Tone King Imperial pedal. Now the long wait…

I’d like to read about this one but can’t find it yet…
All I could find was this photo in a nux facebook group.
You can also see it on the desk in the video I posted earlier but for some reason they didn't talk about it, so probably it's not being released shortly and maybe that's still just a prototype.
